CHAPTER I
INTRODUCTION

1.1 Background on the Job Training


Education System In Indonesia Implementation of national education based on Pancasila
and the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia Year 1945. Serves to develop the ability and
form the character and civilization of a dignified nation in order to educate the life of the
nation, which aims to the development of potential learners to become human beings whom
belive and pious God Almighty, have noble character, healthy, knowledgeable, capable,
creative, independent, and become citizen of democration and responsible.

The Center of Excellence Vocational High School Program (SMK PK) is a program that
focuses on developing and improving the quality and performance of vocational schools with
priority areas that are strengthened through partnerships and alignment with the world of
work. Vocational schools that implement the Vocational Center of Excellence Program
become reference Vocational Schools and centers for improving the quality and performance
of other Vocational Schools. Center of Excellence Vocational Schools are Vocational Schools
that are able to produce graduates who are competent in certain skill competencies and are
absorbed in the world of business, industry and the world of work and can continue to higher
education, through a systematic and comprehensive alignment program of vocational
education with the business world, the industrial world , and the world of work and functions
as a center of excellence, quality improvement and reference for other vocational schools.

Prakerin (Industrial Work Practice) is an educational activity that must be followed by


vocational school students, training and learning carried out in the industrial world or the
world of work in an approach or effort to improve the quality of vocational school students
with the students' competencies/abilities according to their field. and also increase provisions
for the future to enter a world of work that is increasingly numerous and fiercely competitive.
In its implementation, it is carried out using certain procedures, for students who aim to do an
internship in a workplace, either in the business or industrial world, at least they already have
basic skills in accordance with the field they are working in or have received provisions from
supervisors at school to have basic knowledge. which will be applied in the business or
industrial world.

1.2.1 Reason For School is:
1.2.1.1. Gave birth to the attitude of disciplinary, responsibility of mental attitude.
1.2.1.2. Provide motivations that student are excited about achieving goals.
1.2.1.3. Can add and develop the potential of science.
1.2.1.4. Forming mentally students to have a hardworking soul that is consistent.

1.2.2.1. Increase skills, knowledge, ideas about the world of business or industry.

1.3 Objective On The Job Training
1.3.1 For School:
The purpose of the implementation of job training:
1.3.1.1. Give students experience about the real conditions in the world of work and
society so that they are expected to become a more established, mature,
steady person.
1.3.1.2.Provide opportunities for student to apply their abilities in effective cognitive.
1.3.2 For Student:
1.3.2.1 Practice communication or interaction with many people or the public.
1.3.2.2. Form a good ethos and creativity to develop talents and interests in the world
of work.
1.4 Advantages On The Job Training
1.4.1 For School:
1.4.1.1. Developing school programs through synchronizing the learning process
curriculum, and developing practical facilities and infrastructure based on
experience in internship settings.
1.4.1.2. Improving the quality of graduates through work experience during internship.

1.4.2.1. Gain broad insight into the world of work and experience from the world of
industry and the world of work.

2.2History
2.2.1. First Period
This company began its history in Bandung in 1958 under the name "PT Bank
Pegawai Pensiunan military" (Bapemil). Initially, this bank only accepted deposits and
provided loans to TNI retirees. In 1960, this bank received permission to operate as a
commercial bank. In 1986, this bank changed its name to "PT Bank Tabungan Pensiunan
Nasional". In 1993, the Ministry of Finance designated this bank as a commercial bank. In
2008, this bank was officially listed on the Jakarta Stock Exchange. Also in 2008, TPG
Nusantara S.AR.L officially acquired 71.61% of the shares in this bank.
2.2.2. Middle Period
In 2009, this bank launched a lending business for micro and small businesses (UMK)
under the name "BTPN Mitra Usaha Rakyat". In 2011, the bank launched the Daya initiative,
a community empowerment program, and launched the Sinaya brand, which is linked to the
Daya initiative. This bank also successfully completed a trial of the Sharia Community
Banking business (BTPN Syariah Tunas Usaha Rakyat), which as of 2012, had served
444,000 customers in 28,927 community centers spread across Banten, West Java and East
Java. In 2013, this bank acquired Bank Sahabat. Also in 2013, SMBC officially bought 24.3%
of the shares in this bank. In 2014, this bank separated its sharia business unit into Bank
Sahabat, and then changed the name of the bank to BTPN Syariah. Also in 2014, SMBC
increased its share ownership in this bank to 40%.

2.2.3. At Present Period
In 2015, this bank launched BTPN Wow!, a banking service that utilizes mobile
phones and is supported by agents to increase service coverage. In February 2016, this bank
began operating as a foreign exchange bank after receiving a license in December 2015. This
bank then launched the Jenius application, which uses smartphones to carry out various
banking transactions. On December 19 2018, the Financial Services Authority approved the
merger between this bank and Bank Sumitomo Mitsui Indonesia (BSMI), and on January 18
2019, the merger was also approved by the Japan Financial Services Authority.On February 1
2019, this bank officially joined BSMI and changed its name to what it is now. In 2020, this
bank launched Sinaya Prioritas.

2.4.1 Branch Head
2.4.1.1. Plan, coordinate, manage, survey all BTPN Bank activities.
2.4.1.2. Ensure achievement is in line with the targets expected by the branch office.
2.4.1.3. Supervise and control work procedures.
2.4.1.4. Carry out supervision of all approved transactions.
2.4.2 Head Teller
2.4.2.1. Ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the transaction process at teller
service.
2.4.2.2. Provide transaction approval within the limits of authority.
2.4.2.3. Ensure that all tellers carry out transactions correctly.

CLOSSING

3.1. Conclusion
3.1.1. The job training activities are very useful for students, especially students Vocational
High School 1 Nglegok. With the job training activities of students in demand to have an
independent attitude and able to interact with others so that students are expected to have high
ability and insight. In addition work experience gained will enable students to have
professional skills in their field, and to educate students to have a sense of discipline and
responsibility and can train mentally and confidently. In addition the job training is a practice
outside school hours in cooperation with the community or agencies, so that students are able
to mingle and work with the outside community. The job training can support students to
become a skilled and professional workforce in the field that is able to meet national or even
international market.
3.2. Suggestion
3.2.1 Suggestions for school
3.2.1.1. I hope to be able to establish good relations with the company, so that it can
facilitate the younger students who will carry out the next On The Job Training activities and
for the supervising teachers, I hope to be able to control the students regularly.
3.2.2 Suggestions for companies
3.2.2.1. So that you don't have to feel embarrassed towards street vendors' children, try
to give them assignments as long as they are guided first before the assignment is carried out,
so that the results will be effective and efficient.
3.2.3 Suggestions for underclassmen who will carry out PKL
3.2.3.1. The most important suggestion is to maintain the good name of the school
where the company where Industrial Work Practice activities are carried out and to comply
with existing company regulations.
