RE: REITERATION ON THE CONDUCT OF THE
THIRD QUARTER NATIONWIDE
SIMULTANEOUS EARTHQUAKE DRILL
(NSED)

The “Duck, Cover and Hold” procedure was held at exactly

2:00pm, the buzzer sound blurted for one minute and it
motivated everyone to be alert and awake.
Connectively, SAN ISIDRO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL conducted
the Third Quarter NSED on September 7, 2023 at 2:00 O’clock in the
afternoon, this was also affirmed by the virtue of Division
Memorandum No. 666, s. 2023 and in reference to the office of the
undersecretary for operation (QUDPS)Memorandum

No. 2020-04-7825 titled Reiteration on the conduct of the third quarter

nationwide simultaneous earthquake drill. DepEd Memorandum
advises all schools to facilitate to conduct of the activity.

As they performed the drill, they felt as it happened, they

behaved well and follow what their teachers instructed. Mrs.
Desiree U. Malabana and Disaster Action Team (DAT)
checked if there were any sustained injuries. Team Leader
Mrs. Desiree U. Malabana as DRRM Coordinator gave all
clear signal this signifies the termination of the earthquake
drill, the children successfully returned to their respective
classroom.

Before the actual drill, the teacher adviser of every class,

undertook an orientation about the occurrence of earthquake as
well as the needs to carry out a drill to enhance the pupil’s
awareness on the safety measure before, during and after an
earthquake. The drill started with ringing of the bell where the
pupils from kindergarten to grade six together with their
teachers and some parents who participated.
