SyncoFloor EP – Hydro SPR 5701

DESCRIPTION
SyncoFloor EP-Hydro SPR 5701 is a Green product based on a two component water based
amine cured coating. SyncoFloor EP – Hydro SPR 5701 has good abrasion and good adhesion
to concrete . The special feature of the SyncoFloor SPR 5701 it can be used as a Primer and a
top coat ( One Coat System ). If SyncoFloor EP – Hydro SPR 5701 is combined with
SyncoCrete PU – Hybrid Hydro SL 1201 as Primer so Breathable system will be formed on
concrete surfaces which can tolerate a high humidity floor.

RECOMMENDED USE
SyncoFloor EP – Hydro SPR 5701 is suitable for One Coat System or as Body coat and Top
coat after SyncoCrete PU - Hybrid Hydro SL 1201 ( Breathable – System )

INSTRUCTION FOR USE

Surface preparation
Thorough surface preparation is vital. Concrete shall be clean, dry and free of all contaminant
such as dirt, oil grease etc. and concrete structurally sound and sufficient compressive strength
min. 30 N/mm2 with a min. pull off strength of 1.5 N/mm2. For best results Syncoat
recommends mechanical preparation techniques. (For example, metal grinding or using
diamond/resin pad).

New concrete floors

Should be at least 14 days old before proceeding with SyncoFloor EP – Hydro SPR 5701
application. Laitance and deposits on new concrete floors are best removed by light grit
blasting, mechanical grinding. On smaller areas thorough etching may be considered. After
etching the floor, it should be thoroughly washed with clean water and then let to dry.

Old concrete floors

Mechanical cleaning methods are strongly recommended on old concrete floors, particularly
where heavy contamination by oil and grease has occurred or existing coatings are present.
These may well have been absorbed several millimeters deep into the concrete. To ensure
good adhesion all contamination should be removed and the surface thoroughly cleaned of all
dust and loose debris. A thorough detergent wash is also recommended followed by thorough
cleaning with clean water and mopping it off to a dry state.

Mixing
Add the entire contents of the hardener tin to the base and mix thoroughly for 3 mins. until
homogeneous, using a slow speed drill ( 200 - 400 rpm) fitted with a suitable mixing paddle.

2
Application
Once mixed the primer should be applied immediately in a thin continuous film to the clean
prepared surface. Work the primer into the surface using a notch or metal trowel and follow
by spiked roller. Excess application and puddling should be avoided. On porous surfaces.
SyncoFloor EP – Hydro SPR 5701 will be absorbed very quickly.

STORAGE AND HANDLING
The product must be stored in accordance with national regulation. Storage conditions are to
keep the containers in a dry, cool, well ventilated space and away from the source of heat and
ignition. Containers must be kept tightly closed. Handle with care, stir well before use.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Keep away from heat, spark and open flames. Avoid breathing of vapour on skin and eye
contact. Keep container closed and store in a cool, ventilated area when not in use.
Proper ventilation and protective measures must be provided during mixing, application and
drying, to keep vapour concentration within safe limits and to protect against toxic hazard.
Necessary safety equipment must be used and ventilation requirements carefully observed,
especially in confined and enclosed space, such as tank interior and building.
