Do not cut the yarn, continue work along the side, making back edging and then buttonholes.
Side edge: Ch1, 16 sc
Row buttonholes: turn work, 3 Slst, Ch4, skip 3 sts, 5 Slst, Ch4, skip 3 sts, 2 Slst
Fasten off.
If you use larger or smaller buttons, the Ch number must be adjusted accordingly. Cut the yarn and hide it.
For other edge join yarn into the top right corner and work evenly one row of sc (see photos). Fasten off.
Sew the buttons opposite the button holes.
Round 1: Make Ch27. Do not overtighten the chains. Join to the first chain with Slst (count as first st of round)
forming a circle, 26 sc [27]
Round 2: 27 sc
Left leg
Round 3: 1 Slst
Cut the yarn, do not leave a long tail. Crochet should end on the inside of the leg in the middle.
Right leg
Round 3: 14 sc
Do not cut the yarn and continue with body of dungarees.
Body
Join the legs. Begin crocheting from the middle point of the inner side of the left leg. Start in the stitch next to the
slip stitch.
Round 1: 27 sc around left leg, 14 sc around right leg. Put the marker, the next stitch will be a new beginning of all
following rounds. So the marker stitch goes through the side of body.
Round 2: 3 sc, (inc)*6, 3 sc, skip 2 sts, 3 sc, (inc)*6, 16 sc, skip 2 sts, 13 sc [62]
Bib
Point the dungarees facing you and find the 14 center stitches, marking the two extreme ones (see photo).
Join blue yarn in the right marked stitch (from me it was 8th stitch from the beginning of the round) and work in
rows. When you crochet rows you need to turn the workpiece and make 1 turning chain. The turning chain in the
rows do not count as a stitch.
Back of dungarees
Point the back of dungarees facing you and find the 8 center stitches, marking the two extreme ones (see photo).
Tip: There should be 15 stitches space between the front bib and the back on each side!
Join blue yarn in the right marked stitch and work in rows.
• around bib - 9 sc along side of bib, 1 inc in corner, 6 sc along top of bib, 1 inc in other corner, 9 sc along
other side of bib;
• around back - 11 sc along side of back, Ch25 (for strap), from 6th ch from the hook make 20 hdc along ch,
continue with 6 sc along top of back, again make Ch25, from 6th ch from the hook make 20 hdc along ch,
continue with 11 sc along other side of back, 1 Slst into belt. Cut the yarn and hide it.
Pocket of bib
Work the pocket in rows with blue yarn.
Row 1: Ch3, starting from 3rd Ch from the hook, crochet 4 DC in one loop [4]
Row 2: Ch1, turn, inc, 2 sc, inc [6]
Rows 3-5: Ch1, turn, 6 sc (3 rows)
Fasten off, leaving a tail 20 cm (7.9 inc) long to sew to bib.
Right pocket
Row 1: Ch13, starting from 2nd Ch from the hook, crochet 12 sc, Ch1, turn [12]
Row 2: 10 sc, dec, Ch1, turn [11]
Row 3: dec, 9 sc, Ch1, turn [10]
Row 4: 8 sc, dec, Ch1, turn [9]
Row 5: dec, 7 sc, Ch1, turn [8]
Row 6: 6 sc, dec, Ch1, turn [7]
Row 7: dec, 5 sc, Ch1, turn [6]
Row 8: 4 sc, dec, Ch1, turn [5]
Make side edge, working evenly sc across the side. Fasten off, leaving a tail 25 cm (9.85 inc) long for sewing to the
dungarees.
Left pocket
Leave a long starting yarn (35 cm /13.8 inc), well need it leter to crochet the side edge of pocket.
Row 1: Ch13, starting from 2nd Ch from the hook, crochet 12 sc, Ch1, turn [12]
Row 2: dec, 10 sc, Ch1, turn [11]
Row 3: 9 sc, dec, Ch1, turn [10]
Row 4: dec, 8 sc, Ch1, turn [9]
Row 5: 7 sc, dec, Ch1, turn [8]
Row 6: dec, 6 sc, Ch1, turn [7]
Row 7: 5 sc, dec, Ch1, turn [6]
Row 8: dec, 4 sc, Ch1, turn [5]
Fasten off, leaving a tail 25 cm (9.85 inc) long for sewing to the dungarees.
With the tail that we left at the beginning of crocheting, we make the side edge, working evenly sc across the
side.
Sew all the pockets on the dungarees, using a tapestry needle and the yarn tails. Sew the buttons to the top of
dungarees.
Joining soles
Place the soles together, wrong sides inside, like it's shown in the photos. Take the gray yarn and crochet Slst
through around entire sole going through both soles [32]
Fasten off, make a knot and hide the ends.
Join pink yarn into central back loop of Slst and work first round in BL(O) (see photos)
Round 1: Ch1, 1 sc in the same st as Ch1, 1 sc in each of next 31 sts, join to the 1st sc of current round with a Slst
[32]
Round 2: Ch1, 1 sc in the same st as Ch1, 7 sc, dec, 13 sc, dec, 7 sc, join to the 1st sc with Slst [30]
Round 3: Ch1, 1 sc in same st as Ch1, 29 sc, join to the 1st sc with Slst [30]
Round 4: Ch1, 1 sc in same st as Ch1, 10 sc, (dec)*2, 1 sc, (dec)*2, 10 sc, join to the 1st sc with Slst [26]
Cut the yarn, do not leave a long tail.
Point the sole with the toe at you, locate the centre front 4 stitches, marking the two extreme ones (see photo).
Join pink yarn into stitch just next to the marked left stitch (see photo) and crochet in rows.
Row 5: Ch1 into stitch just next to the marked st, 1 sc in each of next 9 sts, skip Slst done in previous round, 10 sc,
skip 1 st, 1 sc, turn [20]
Sides Edging
Join the gray yarn to the bottom left side of sneaker (see photo) and work:
Ch1, 1 sc in each of next 2 sts along side, 1 inc into corner, (1 hdc + 1 DC) in one st, (incDC)*10, (1 DC + 1 hdc) in
one st, 1 inc into corner, 2 sc along side, Slst in next st.
Cut the yarn, leaving 70 cm (27.6 inc) long for tongue.
Tongue
Point the sole with the toe at you.
Insert the hook into back loop of 1st right marked stitch (see photo).Take the gray end you left earlier and crochet:
Ch9, starting from the 4th from the hook crochet 5 TC, 1 DC, join with Slst into back loop of left marked stitch.
