Survey Manager – Middle East

An opportunity has arisen for a land/engineering survey manager to join the established RSK
business based in the Middle East. RSK operates a substantial survey department, which over the
last decade has grown mainly in support of our substantial operations in Iraq. Whilst the oil & gas
sector remains a key area for RSK in the region we are a business with a firm commitment to the UN
Sustainable Development Goals, with a key focus on supporting the Saudi Arabia Vision 2030, and on
developing our secured framework agreements with the spectacular developments that form that
megaprojects at NEOM, Red Sea, AMAALA and AlUla. This has provided an exciting opportunity for a
survey manager whose brief will include both working with the existing team focussing on maintaining
the quality and integrity of our current operations but importantly development and implementation of
our growing business operations across the region.

The successful candidate will have considerable engineering survey experience keen to undertake a
hands-on role and who is highly proficient in site work using modern survey instruments such as Leica
Total Station, GPS and Laser Scanning Equipment, and Aerial Survey technology. An interest in
geophysical techniques and the ability to undertake survey data acquisition, processing and high
quality deliverables in a range of software formats is essential.

The successful candidate will also be required to travel to and spend time in other countries including
Saudi Arabia and to participate in business development activities, production of tenders, liaising with
clients both internal and external, coordinating the survey teams and training.

Desired experience and person specification:

 A good degree (BSc/MSc) in surveying or related discipline


 A full understanding of surveying techniques
 A minimum of 10 years’ experience in the surveying industry
 Experience gained in the Middle East preferred
 Experience of managing people/teams
 Sound written and verbal communication skills together with interpersonal skills and ability to
develop key relationships
 Strong IT skills including Excel, CAD, Cyclone and N4ce or equivalent , and a good
understanding of GIS and ArcGIS database
 A sound understanding of construction design drawings.
 Full driving licence
