Pour the chemical and water into the corre- sponding replenisher tank. Then mix them using the agitating bar. 2. Pour in processing solutions : (1) Pull the processing racks out of the processing tanks. (Refer to ftem 3 in the section of maintenance.) (2) Wash the processing tanks with water. Then connect some «hoses to the drain valves.. Bring the other ends of the hoses to the drain or a container, Now, open the drain valves. (3) Close the drain valves. : Drain valve. (4) Check that all drain valves : ‘thave been closed sufficiently. Load the drained water to the drain or a container. (5) Starting from the last step (STB). pour solutions into the Processing tanks to the ‘appropriate level. Keep some part ¢ of the solutions in the separate containers and pour into the Processing tanks again after air is released from the circulation system completely. ‘*When filling the tanks with the solutions, you must allow for the displacement of the solution when the racks are inserted. If the solution level is too high, ‘valuable solutions will be lost through displacement. Follow the procedures below : a. When the processing tanks are filled up to the overflow level with water for the leakage test, put the racks into the tanks. Then remove the racks from the tanks and record the water level after the racks have been removed. ¢. Use the recorded level when pouring solutions into the tanks for the first time. itions_when pouring solutions 1.. Be sure never splash solutions onto the sides of the upper frame or into the other processing tanks. 2. When pouring solutions into tanks,be sure that there are no racks in the tanks. (6) Reinsert the processing racks. (7) Turn ON the main switch, breaker the power source switch on the switch panel to circulate’ the -solutions. (8) Check the solution level. If it has dropped below the over~ flow level, pour solutions, which were set aside in item (3), into the corresponding processing tanks until the solution reaches the overflow level. Level indicating 2.Measuring replenisher pump output This operation is to be done to make the preset replenisher pump output equal to the output actually measured. Do this when the machine is first installed or replenisher pumps are replaced with new ones. 1. Turn ON the power source switch on the switch panel. 2. Hold a measuring cylinder at the outlet of a replenisher Pipe. Replenishér Ape 7 3. Operate the replenisher pumps and Measure the replenisher output. Note 1: Be sure to return the replenisher solution which was measured, to the replenisher tank, not to the processing tank. Note 2: When there is no solution in the bellows of the pump, operate the pump until the solution comes out of the replenisher pipe. © How to operate the replenisher pumps manually : (1) Press & key repeatedly until the message, Cb GUTFUT » appears on the display. Replenisher ON/OFF capability This capability enables the processor to process film even while replenisher solutions are being prepared. In this case, replenisher solutions are not supplied. Set the replenisher switch on the display to OFF to activate this capability. Though no replenisher is supplied, the machine counts the time during which the replenisher should have been supplied. When the replenisher switch is set to ON later, the replenisher is supplied automatically for the period counted by the machine. To use this capability, it is necessary to turn ON No.4 on DP3 on CPU P.C.B. 1. The replenisher solution sensor is detecting the solution when ‘the REPLENISHER SW is turned from OFF to ON. 2, With the REPLENISHER SW ON, the replenisher solution sensor has been. detecting the solution for at least 40. Explanation of this capability: When there is enough solution with REPLENISHER SW 0} # *Replenisher pumps work in a normal way: *Replenisher pumps continue to work for the time during which teplenisher solutions were not supplied because the REPLENISHER SW was OFF. However, when the replenisher solution goes below the sensor while the pumps are operating, they stop immediately. When solution level is below the: sensor with REPLENISHER SW ON: “The alarm message "REPL SOLN RUN OUT” appears on the display and the alarm sounds. *When COLE] key is pressed, the alarm sound ceases. However the alarm sounds again after a film strip has been processed or if no film strip is processed for 30 minutes. ‘In this case, replenisher pumps do not supply the replenisher solutions which were not supplied because the REPLENISHER SW ‘. was OFF. When REPLENISHER SW is being OFF: +Neither manual replenishment nor the output measurement can be done. *Replenisher pumps do not work even when film strips are processed. +The machine counts the time during which no replenisher was supplied while film strips are processed. However when the time exceeds 3750 seconds, the error message, “REPLENISHER SW ON" appears on the display. +Even when the replenisher soluticn goes down below the sensor, alarm will not arise. *40 minuts after the sensor detects the replenisher solution, the message "REPLENISH SW ON" appears on the display. 6, When it is desired to change replenisher amount : The basic replenisher amount specified by the emulsion manufacturer has already been input into the machine. By changing’ this basic amount, you can change the replenisher amount actually supplied by the replenisher . Pumps. For how to change the amount, see the key operation manual. 1, Daily preparations 1. Solution temperature control (1) Open the main valve for cooling water. (This is only necessary when the processor is equipped with a cooling water plumbing (option) and the plumbing is connected to the city water.) When the solution temperature are controlled using the program timer, it i8 unnecessary to open the valve here because it is opened on the previous day. When a chilling unit is employed, there is no such valye for cooling water. : (2) Turn ON the main power source and the POWER switch on the switch panel. When the program timer is used, the main power source is turned ON on the previous day. (3) Check the solution temperatures in the processing tanks starting, in order, from the CD solution. Use a mercury thermometer to do ‘so. (4) Check the solution level. Check that the solution level has reached the upper surface of the level indicating plate (red) attached to the inside of each tank. {5) When the solution level goes down due to evaporation, add water. 2. Racks (1) Check that no crystals and foreign matter are attached to rollers and guide sections of each rack. a. Every morning before starting operations, wipe off the rollers and guides which are outside the solutions. In particular, if the path through which film passes is wet with water or solution, film will not be processed uniformly. Therefore make sure to wipe it off completely. o07es1 b.
