Features

1. Advanced Photo System compatibility

This film processor has been designed to be compatible with the Advanced Photo System with addition of
just a couple of options.

2. Developing time (processing speed) can be set to either the 3 step variable mode or to the stepless
variable mode.

3. Circulation pumps have rotation sensors.

This makes it possible to know if the pumps stop during operation and thus take action to prevent film from
being ruined.

4. Cooling water is not necessary.

Cooling water is not necessary as long as the ambient temperature is kept below 30°C (86°F).

5. A loading box cover interlock system is standard equipment.

The system locks the loading box cover while film is passing through the loading box thus ensuring that the
cover is not accidentally opened and film ruined.

6. Two different sizes of film can be processed at the same time using right and left lanes.
Since the film size is detected for each lane, any combination of sizes other than 120 and IX240 can be
processed, simultaneously. (120 film must be processed by itself or with another roll of 120 film. IX240 film
also must be processed by itself.)

7. Energy conservation
To save as much energy as possible, the dryer goes on and off automatically. This ensures that the dryer
is activated only when film is being processed.

8. A program timer is standard equipment.

When the switch on the program timer is turned on, the temperatures will be adjusted to the preset level
before the start of operations on the following day.
It is possible to set up separate programs for starting and finishing temperature control for each day.

9. Film counters are built-in.

The film counters count the number of rolls of film processed by size and the total number.
These numbers can be checked on the display.

10. Internal mixing for replenishers

Replenishers can be prepared in the replenisher tanks.

11. Loading the film is simple.

Insert the leader card, which has been spliced to the film, into the slot in the loading box and close the
cover.

3
12. Automatic film size detection
In accordance with a signal received from the sensor, the size of the film is detected automatically.
Then, in turn, the amount of replenisher and all other relevant decisions are made automatically.

13. Replenisher and waste solution tanks are built-in.

Each replenisher tank is equipped with an alarm to warn that the tank is almost empty; each waste solution
tank is equipped with an alarm indicating that the tank is almost full.

14. Easy operation with dialog-type messages.

By means of the message display and the keyboard, the operator is able to carry on a dialog with the
machine and thus reduce the danger of trouble during operations.

15. A large, 68 × 110 mm, monochrome LCD display is standard equipment.

The film position, countermeasures for errors, etc. are displayed with words and graphics.

16. All necessary maintenance can be carried out from the same side.
Since the machine can be completely checked and maintained from just one side, it can be installed close
to a wall, allowing for optimum use of valuable floor space.

17. Castors are standard equipment.

Castors are attached to allow the machine to be moved easily.

18. An automatic water replenisher is standard equipment.

Water replenisher is done automatically during operation if solution levels drop (due to evaporation).
During the start-up, if solution levels are low, the operator is prompted to activate the water replenisher.
This eliminates the need to add the water to the processing tank by hand.

19. A 3.5 inch FDD (Floppy Disk Drive) is standard equipment.

This provides a backup for the film developing data and makes it possible to upgrade software easily.
When important data is lost because of a mistake in operations, the fact that it can be recovered quickly
gives great peace of mind.

Cooling water 20℃, 2 /min
(When a chilling unit is not used.)
As long as the temperature surrounding the machine is kept
at 30℃ or below, cooling water is unnecessary.
But when it is higher than that, cooling water is required.
There are two ways of controlling solution temperatures, one
is by using city water and the other is by using a chilling unit
(sold separately). In either case, a cooling water unit (option)
must be attached to the machine.

Note

・ Machines are to be used in a place where the relative humidity is from 30% to 75% and the temperature
is from 18 ℃ to 30 ℃ (64˚F to 86˚F).

・ The light which illuminates this machine should be the color of natural light and limited to 300 to 400 lux.
Direct light near this machine should be screened. A curtain or blind should be provided to keep sunlight
away from the equipment when necessary.

・ Do not install the machine in a place that is very dusty or where a lot of vibration is present.

・ The customer is requested to prepare the plumbing between the processor, drain, and cooling water
valve.

・ Connect the drain with reinforced PVC pipe and connect the cooling water supply valves with steel pipe or
reinforced PVC pipe.

・ Be sure to install a strainer (80 or 100 mesh) between the cooling water shut off valve and solenoid valve.

・ Do not raise the room temperature suddenly. If you do so, moisture in the air is likely to condense on the
machine, causing film jams, malfunctions in the electronics and PCBs, etc.

・ Although this machine is of waterless specification, it uses solution. Therefore, for the sake of safety,
please make the floor and walls waterproof. In addition, please install a drain in the room to facilitate
washing racks.

・ The castors on the bottom of the machine are for moving the machine a short distance, only. Once the
machine has been positioned, be sure to fix it in place with the jack bolts.

・ If each position of jack bolt on the floor is not uneven (difference: 15 mm or more), place a plate or the like
under the jack bolt to level the machine.

・ When the separate replenisher tank (option) is used, place it so that the solution level that the replenisher
poured upto the regular amount is lower than the replenisher outlet.

・ The standard value has been previously set to each mode in shipment for the machine. It may differ
depending on the ambient conditions. Change the value if necessary.

Subject to change without notice.
