ADVERTISEMENT FOR FUNDED DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY PROGRAMME

The Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Usmanu Danfodiyo
University Sokoto is pleased to announce an open position for a partly-funded Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
programme in Pharmacology and Toxicology.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a research team on the topic: “Caralluma
dalzielii N. E. Brown as a potential therapeutic agent for Alzheimer’s disease in transgenic Drosophila
melanogaster model”.

The sponsorship covers 80% of laboratory reagents, chemicals, consumables, and all bench fees. The funding
does not cover tuition fees or stipends.
