Industry Projects
Prediction and Analysis of Ad Metrics. I’m working on creating a predictive analytics tool focused on
advertising performance metrics. It’s still under development and is designed to forecast future trends
while identifying and analyzing the reasons behind any differences between predicted and actual figures,
taking into account both demand and supply factors.
Quad Prediction (current project at MS IDC). Microsoft Lens has become widely popular as a doc-
ument scanning application that exclusively utilizes in-device resources and refrains from sharing data
with external servers. Presently, my focus is on predicting the quadrilateral that appears on the screen,
aiding users in comprehending the machine’s interpretation of the document boundary within the image.
This task is particularly challenging due to its real-time processing of video frames, and the complexity
introduced by the document, background, and varying lighting conditions. Moreover, it necessitates an
efficient implementation for resource-frugal execution on handheld mobile devices.
Low-cost Summarisation (at MS IDC). OpenAI’s GPT-3.5 embodies formidable capabilities in AI/ML,
adept at swiftly and accurately summarizing text. However, the inference cost associated with this feature
escalates with the volume of documents, alongside constraints on input and output tokens. Although
a strategy of summarizing summaries exists, it often compromises performance. Our endeavor delves
into methodologies aimed at mitigating these concerns - cost and token limits - while maintaining good
summarization quality within a given cost.
Trial to Paid Conversion prediction (at MS IDC). In this project the objective was to identify the poten-
tial paid customers for Office 365. This reached a logical conclusion for experiment-expectation. This was
an important milestone to evangelize with the respective product teams.

Predicting Concession-rate (at Amazon India). As a member of the India Machine Learning team, I
developed a predictive model that assesses the likelihood of encountering concessions for each offer. The
term "concession" here includes defects, returns, refunds, and similar scenarios. The model exhibits a
broad range of applications, such as product recommendations and search functionalities. Its implemen-
tation has contributed substantially to enhancing Amazon’s business metrics.
Social trend-based product recommendation using Knowledge Graph (at Social Audience Pvt. Ltd.).
While working at Social Audience Pvt. Ltd., I developed a tool designed to extract trends from social
networks. The tool mapped these trends to the product database, providing recommendations for creating
targeted advertisements. A crucial component of this tool involved constructing a Knowledge Graph and
leveraging it for real-time inference.
