BACKGROUND :
The facts of the case of Raghubir Singh v General Manager, Haryana Roadways, Hissar as
follows :-
Raghubir Singh was employed as a Conductor in Haryana Roadways. He was dismissed from his job
by the General Manager of Haryana Roadways in Hissar on the grounds of misconduct.

Raghubir Singh's dismissal was primarily based on accusations of misappropriation of funds collected
during his duties as a Conductor. The prosecution presented evidence to support these allegations,
including financial records and witness testimonies.

Raghubir Singh contested the charges and claimed that he was falsely accused.

The primary issue in this case was whether Raghubir Singh's dismissal was justified based on
allegations of misconduct.

As a result, the Supreme Court ruled that Raghubir Singh's dismissal from service was unjustified and
ordered his reinstatement.

Additionally, the Court ordered that he be given full back wages for the period of his dismissal.
