I. COURSE TITLE: Introduction to Criminal Justice System

II. COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course covers the introduction of the important aspect of the criminal justice system and the related issues. It also
includes the topic on the five pillars of criminal justice system in the Philippines, their main function, roles in the practical administration of justice – law
enforcement, the prosecution, the courts, the corrections and the community. It also covers their respective functional relationships as well as individual roles in
the administration of the justice system in the solution of crimes.

Prerequisites: NONE
Classifications: Major Subject
Credit Units: 3
Total number of hours: 54
Days: MWF
