MATERIALS:

o 2.25 mm hook
o Buttons
o Needle
o Scissor
o Fine cotton yarn (The Crochet Polo is in small size, so just add yarn and stitch if you are medium and so
on. 3 skeins for light color and 4 skeins for dark color yarn).

STITCH ABBREVIATIONS:

o CH- chain stitch


o HDC- half double crochet
o CH-SP-chain space
o SC- single crochet
o HDC DEC- half double crochet decrease

STEPS:

o This is for the back part of the body. Using the dark shade of your yarn, Make 185 CH or until on your
desired length.
o HDC on the 4th CH, make 1CH to create CH-SP
o HDC on the 6th and 7th CH, Repeat the process. Make 1CH, HDC on the 9th and 10th CH. Do the process
until the last CH. See picture no. 1

o Increase the row by making 2HDC on each CH-SP until you have 8 rows of your dark color. See picture no.

o Now we will change the yarn color into lighter shade. Repeat the process until you have 8 rows. See
picture no. 3

o After the 8 rows of your lighter shade, we will go back to darker shade. Repeat the process until you have
13 group of rows. See picture no. 4

o Now we will do the front part of the body. Same process, just make 5 group
of rows. See picture no. 5

o For the collar side, we will make 1 more group of light shade rows. By
starting on the 10th CH-SP. See picture no. 6

o After that we will do the button (this will be the left side of the body) by
making SC using the dark shade of your yarn. See picture no. 7

o Finish until 2nd row of SC, on the 3rd row make a hole for the buttons. The
hole will be depend on the size of your buttons. After finishing the 3rd row
with buttons, make an additional of 3 rows of SC to finish. See picture no. 8

o Repeat the process on the front right side of the body by making 6 rows of
SC without a hole. See picture no. 9

o Connect the shoulder by using SC. See picture no. 10

o We will do the collar now by making the same pattern of HDC. The ending
of the HDC is until 10th, on which you started the collar for the down part.

o Continue until you have the 8 rows. See picture no. 12

o Finish the collar with 6 rows of SC. See picture no. 13

o Now we will do the side of the body (back and front part) by making 2 rows
each of HDC using light color. See picture no. 14

o You will start on the 21st of CH-SP and you will end on the last 8 of the CH-
SP. After finishing the back and the front body with 2 rows of HDC (light
color) combine the back and the front using SC.
SLEEVE PART:
o HDC on each CH-SP. Take note when you are increasing the rows, turn back.
Same as the process on the body.
o On every 4th row make a HDC DEC on the 1st and 2nd CH-SP. See picture no.

o Make a group of HDC rows with HDC DEC on every 4th row, until on your
desired length and finish it with 6 rows of SC See picture no. 16

o Finish the lining of the bottom part of the body with SC. See picture no. 17
