Let the learners bring out any materials from their bag and ask them how important are the materials to them. The teacher
will facilitate the learners sharing. Then establish the linkage to the impact of the scientist invention in everyday life.

The teacher will present and explain to the learners that the lesson will explain the impact of the
Filipino and/or foreign scientist and their invention on everyday life
4 minutes
The teacher will show to the learners a video lifted from Youtube showing how windmill works and its
importance. The teacher download other video that is available and common in loval community. The
teacher will facilitate the discussion.
Let the learners watch a video lifted from the Youtube about windmill.
The teacher will facilitate the discussion by answering the following questions:
Q1. Who is the scientist mentioned in the story?
Q2. What is the biggest invention of the scientist in the story?
Q3. How are video phones different from normal phones?
Q4. How do video phones work?
Q5. How useful are video phones?The teacher will build connection with the task to the lesson on
using information at home, school, and community to identify science inventions.
The teacher will facilitate the presentation/discussion and give feedback.
The teacher will assign the learner to identify five materials found at home, school, or in the
community and search who invented it and how these materials were developed. Let them further
classify these materials based on their uses.
Write their answers in a science notebook.
The teacher will ask the learners to share their answers to the class and select sample answers for
all learners to be written on their science notebook.
The teacher will highlight the uses of the identified science inventions and check if the learners
classify these inventions correctly.The teacher will ask the learners to answer the listed question
through class discussion or writing the answers in their Worksheet.What is your favorite scientist’s
invention?
