This document describes additional configuration steps that must be carried out by customers to use the Manage
Teams and Responsibilities app. Since these configuration steps are customer-specific, they cannot be delivered by
SAP, and must be carried out by the customer.
Use
Prerequisites
• Authorization for transaction SPRO, for maintaining the configurations related to Responsibility Management.
Procedure
1. Using IMG project management (transaction SPRO), go to Cross Application Components General
Application Functions Responsibility Management Functions .
2. Select Define Functions.
3. Create functions as per the business requirement.
4. Select Define Function Profiles.
5. Create function profiles as per the business requirement.
6. Map the functions you’ve created to the function profile.
Procedure
1. Using IMG project management (transaction SPRO), go to Cross Application Components General
Application Functions Responsibility Management Responsibility Definitions .
2. Select Define Custom Responsibility Definition.
3. Create responsibility definitions as per the business requirement, with required parameters.
4. Select Map Custom responsibility definition to CDS view.
5. Map the custom responsibility definition to a CDS view.
Procedure
1. Using IMG project management (transaction SPRO), go to Cross Application Components General
Application Functions Responsibility Management Responsibility Definitions Teams and Responsibilities
Team Categories .
2. Select Assign Function Profiles to Team Category.
3. Assign the created function profiles to the team category.
4. Select Classify Functions for Team Category.
5. Define the function classification for the function with assigned team category.
6. Select Assign Custom Responsibility Definitions to Team category.
7. Assign the created custom responsibility definition to team category.
8. Select Define Team Types.
9. Create a Team Type as per the business requirement, and assign team category.
10. (Optional) Exclude the functions, and standard or custom responsibility definitions, as required.
11. Using IMG project management (transaction SPRO), go to Cross Application Components General
Application Functions Responsibility Management Teams and Responsibilities Validate Team Members .
12. Select Assign Functions to Template Roles.
13. Assign function to a template role for the assigned team category.
14. Select Assign Authorization Fields to Responsibility Definitions.
15. Map the authorization field to responsibility definitions.
16. Select Override Authorization Field Assignment.
