• What are the three principal steps of the planning process?

The three principal steps of the planning process include knowing our current
status (where are we currently), where we conduct our SWOT analysis, mission
and vision. The next step is knowing where we want to go. Here we focus on
developing our objectives. The third step is evaluating how are we going to get
there. This is where we develop action plans which will then lead us to the
completion of our strategy.

• Briefly explain how the staff at all levels be involved in both the development and the
implementation of the planning process.
The staff at all levels would be involved in planning if we include them in the
process from the get-go. They would also be more effective in the implementation
process if they would be delegated tasks and be held accountable for their
respective areas. Effective communication and information cascade must also be
taken into consideration and be part of the priorities of the planning process.
