SEO Specialist Job Description – June 2024

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic SEO Specialist to lead our
SEO campaigns and significantly enhance our Google rankings. This role is project-based,
primarily focusing on developing and executing comprehensive SEO strategies for our
relatively new websites. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both on-page
and off-page SEO, local SEO, SEO copywriting, and technical SEO.

Key Responsibilities:

1. SEO Strategy Development:


 Create and implement effective SEO strategies from scratch, tailored to the
specific needs of enterprisesg.com and esgwellness.com.
2. Keyword Research:
 Conduct thorough keyword research to identify high-impact keywords and
phrases that align with our business goals.
3. On-Page SEO:
 Optimize website content, meta tags, images, and other on-page elements to
improve search engine rankings and user experience.
 Use unique and descriptive title tags for each page.
 Write compelling meta descriptions to improve click-through rates.
 Structure content using header tags (H1, H2, H3).
 Use descriptive alt text for images to improve image search indexing.
4. Off-Page SEO:
 Develop and execute link-building strategies to increase domain authority and
drive organic traffic.
 Build high-quality backlinks from reputable sites to improve site authority.
5. Local SEO:
 Implement local SEO tactics to improve visibility in local search results,
including optimizing Google My Business profiles and local citations.
 Ensure NAP (Name, Address, Phone number) consistency across the web.
6. Content Development:
 Collaborate with the content team to create high-quality, SEO-friendly content
that engages our target audience and supports our SEO objectives.
 Ensure that content is original, informative, and valuable to the target
audience.
 Regularly update content to keep it fresh and relevant.
7. SEO Copywriting:
 Write and edit compelling, keyword-rich copy for various web pages, blog
posts, and other digital content.
8. Performance Monitoring:
 Regularly track, analyze, and report on SEO performance using tools like
Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other SEO tools.
9. Technical SEO:
 Identify and resolve technical SEO issues, including site speed optimization,
mobile optimization, and crawlability improvements.
 Create and submit an XML sitemap to Google Search Console.
 Ensure robots.txt file is correctly configured to allow Googlebot to crawl
important pages.
 Maintain a clear and logical site structure with effective internal linking.
 Implement HTTPS for site security.
 Use structured data markup to help Google better understand the content on
the site.
10. Mobile Optimization:
 Ensure the website is mobile-friendly as Google prioritizes mobile-first
indexing.
11. Page Speed Optimization:
 Optimize the site’s loading speed using tools like Google PageSpeed Insights.
 Compress images, leverage browser caching, and minimize CSS and
JavaScript.
12. Security:
 Implement HTTPS to ensure site security, as Google favors secure sites.
13. User Experience (UX):
 Ensure the site is easy to navigate and provides a good user experience.
 Minimize pop-ups and intrusive ads that can detract from user experience.
14. Content Delivery Network (CDN):
 Use a CDN to improve site speed and performance, especially for a global
audience.

Qualifications:

 Proven experience as an SEO Specialist or similar role, with a strong portfolio of


successful SEO projects.
 In-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms and ranking factors.
 Proficiency in SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console,
SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Moz.
 Excellent understanding of on-page and off-page SEO techniques.
 Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and act on data insights.
 Exceptional SEO copywriting and content development skills.
 Experience with local SEO strategies and tactics.
 Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and basic web development principles is a plus.
 Strong communication and collaboration skills.
 Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
 Able to understand and communicate effectively in English.
 Working in Singapore Time Zone from 9am – 6pm.

Tools and Resources:

 Google Search Console: For submitting sitemaps, monitoring indexing status, and
understanding search traffic.
 Google Analytics: For tracking and analyzing website traffic.
 Google PageSpeed Insights: For checking and improving site speed.
 Screaming Frog SEO Spider: For crawling your site and identifying technical SEO
issues.
 Yoast SEO (for WordPress users): For optimizing on-page SEO elements. (You can
