INTRODUCTION

Grade 12 Senior High School Students have commenced their work

immersion as part of their chosen academic track or vocational course. This

immersion aims to train students and enhance their skills for future employment. It is

a component of the K-12 program designed to prepare students for the workforce.

According to the Department of Education, this program involves an 80-hour

hands-on experience to expose students to real work environments and enhance the

skills they've acquired in school. The Department of Labor and Employment

emphasizes that work immersion is essential for achieving the K to 12 Program's

goal of producing graduates ready for employment with industry-specific skills. DOLE

strongly supports the notion that work immersion contributes significantly to realizing

the objectives of the K to 12 Program.

This program prepares students for their transition into the workforce by

familiarizing them with business-related settings aligned with their specialization. It

allows students to experience social interactions within a work environment, which


better equips them for life after graduation. Work immersion serves as a valuable

tool for Senior High students to evaluate whether their chosen field aligns with their

career aspirations. By testing their skills and knowledge in practical settings,

students can refine their career choices and make informed decisions about their

future paths.

HISTORY OF FIAT LUX ACADEME

The idea of putting up a school was conceived by the founder, Mrs. Aida

Salazar-Gapo, an alumna of National Teachers College, Manila and an educator by

heart.

The construction of the school started in an eighty-eight square meter lot on

February 14, 1993 and began its operation as learning center on June 15, 1993

bearing the name, Little Scribbler Learning School. The school was granted DECS

Permit K-240,s.1993 with barely sixty pupils in the Nursery, Kindergarten, and

Preparatory Levels, After its maiden operation, there was enormous increase in the

Pre-Elementary Course in 1995.

The growing population prompted the founder to change the name of the

school To Fiat Lux, a Latin term which means "Let There Be Light" to cater a

ladderized curriculum which the school applies to present. With the academe's

euphonic perspective of the true intent of advocating educational, social and moral

domains, the construction of Fiat Lux Academe in Barangay San Jose Dasmarinas

City, Cavite commenced on August 8, 2008 and began its operation as learning

haven for Secondary Schoolers on June 14, 2010.

From its humble beginning as a haven of academic excellence, the Fiat Lux

Academe continues to convey an advanced and quality education which will certainly

serve as the youths’ flambeau in crossing the thresholds of the life's basic.

The Worker

Driven to succeed, I'm constantly seeking ways to improve. From honing new skills to

maintaining a positive outlook, I actively engage in my work environment to excel in my role

and contribute to the company's accomplishments. Recognizing my potential, I've

consistently invested in building my skillset, fostering a strong work ethic, and acquiring

relevant experience. In my opinion, being a valuable employee involves a blend of qualities:

B2 - During the conduct of the work interview, do you think you did well?

Even though English isn't my strongest language, I was able to answer all the interview
questions. Considering it was my first interview like this, I'm really happy with how I
communicated and feel confident about my performance.I think I did a great job in my
interview,I feel very positive about how I did.

B3 - What are the areas that you think you are good at and areas that need to be improved?

I'm organized and efficient at managing my time. I can prioritize tasks well and consistently
meet deadlines.Public speaking is something I'd like to improve on. I'm aiming to become
more confident and articulate when presenting in front of large audiences.

B4 - Are you more confident now to answer during job interview?

I figured out my strong points and what I need to work on. This makes me feel more
confident about explaining my skills and experience well. Because I've prepared carefully
and I'm ready to show how my qualifications fit the job, I'm in a better position to make a
great impression during interviews.

Activity C

Steps in Getting Barangay Clearance

First things first, you'll need at least one valid government-issued ID. While a student

ID can sometimes be accepted, it's best to check with your barangay hall beforehand to

confirm if they accept it. Head to your local barangay hall during their operating hours.

Barangay halls typically operate from Mondays to Fridays. Once you're at the barangay hall,

grab an application form and fill it out accurately. Be sure to double-check the information

you provide, as any errors might delay the process. After completing the form, approach the

barangay staff and submit it along with your valid ID. There might be a minimal fee

associated with obtaining a barangay clearance. Students may be exempt from the fee, but it's

best to confirm this with the barangay staff. The barangay staff will process your application,

which usually takes a short while. Once your clearance is processed, the staff will inform you

and you can claim your document. Don't forget to review it for accuracy before leaving the

barangay hall.

NARRATIVE REPORT (My Career Talk)

The day before the event, our team began prepping the venue at 1:30 PM. We started
by thoroughly cleaning the Bulwagang Kalinangan hall to create a welcoming environment
for attendees. Next, we carefully arranged chairs to accommodate the large number of
students from Fiat Lux Academe's senior high school. We also organized the registration
table to ensure a smooth check-in process. By 4:00 PM, everything was ready for the big day.

This university offers a potentially less crowded and more affordable dorm option
compared to Manila universities. Renowned for its strong focus on healthcare programs like
Nursing, Medical Technology, and Dentistry, UPHSD Molino showcased its commitment to
academic excellence and industry relevance.

Academies like iAcademy Philippines, Southville International School and Colleges


(SISC), and Saint Francis of Assisi College (SFAC) further enriched the event's diversity.
iAcademy Philippines, specializing in Information Technology and tech-related fields,
presented exciting opportunities for students seeking careers in high-demand tech
professions. SISC, with its global perspective and international standards, prepares students
for success both locally and abroad. Lastly, SFAC, rooted in Franciscan values, fosters well-
rounded individuals with strong academic foundations, particularly known for its teacher
education programs.

After the event, we quickly switched gears to clean up. We meticulously rearranged
and stored chairs and tables, returning the space to its original setup. We paid close attention
to detail, tidying up any remaining debris and ensuring a spotless environment. Satisfied with
our efforts, we left the venue clean and orderly, ready for its next use. Our commitment to
cleanliness and responsibility reflected our dedication to maintaining the space and upholding
professional standards.

The career talk event was a turning point in shaping our future careers. It provided
valuable insights into diverse educational institutions, career paths, and industries,
empowering us to make informed decisions. The presentations emphasized the importance of
practical training and work immersion, highlighting their role in preparing us for the
workforce.

Work immersion bridges the gap between theory and real-world application,
equipping us with the skills and confidence to excel in our chosen fields. By experiencing
professional environments firsthand, we gain invaluable insights and build meaningful
connections, ultimately positioning ourselves for career success.

NARRATIVE REPORT (Chosen School)

While exploring universities, National University (NU) - Dasmarinas has truly captured
my interest. Everything I've learned about NU Dasmarinas suggests it's the ideal environment for
me to achieve my academic and personal aspirations.

NU Dasmarinas particularly appeals to me because of its strong and affordable programs


in business administration, accountancy, and engineering. Their reputation for academic
excellence aligns perfectly with my desire for a rigorous education. Additionally, their
commitment to holistic development resonates with my goals for personal growth.

The vibrant and inclusive campus environment at NU Dasmarinas seems perfect for
fostering well-rounded individuals. I imagine myself flourishing in a community that encourages
participation in extracurricular activities and provides opportunities to connect with dedicated
faculty and motivated peers who share my passion for learning and making a difference.

NU Dasmarinas' emphasis on values formation and community service particularly


resonates with my personal beliefs. I strongly believe in giving back to society, and NU
Dasmarinas fosters this value. Ultimately, NU Dasmarinas represents more than just an academic
opportunity; it's a place where I can grow intellectually, personally, and ethically. I'm incredibly
excited about the prospect of becoming a part of the NU Dasmarinas community.

Accomplishment Report

The work immersion program proved to be a valuable learning experience for students,
who took on various crucial roles to ensure the event's success. From managing registration and
guiding attendees to meticulously documenting the proceedings and maintaining a clean and
orderly environment, every student displayed dedication and a drive for excellence. Their
performance not only highlighted their strong work ethic but also hinted at their ambitions for
high achievement. Throughout the event, students diligently fulfilled their assigned duties,
showcasing a commendable sense of responsibility and professionalism. Even during
interactions with university representatives, they remained laser-focused on their tasks, ensuring
the event ran smoothly. The cleaning crew, in particular, stood out for their efficiency and eco-
conscious approach.

Beyond the event's success, the students' combined efforts exemplified their commitment
to excellence and unity. Their hard work wasn't just about individual dedication; it underscored
their collective pursuit of high standards. By demonstrating such dedication and teamwork, they
not only gained valuable real-world experience but also set a positive example for their peers.
The importance of diligence, responsibility, and environmental awareness in achieving common
goals was powerfully emphasized.

The work immersion program provided students with a platform not only to showcase
their existing skills and dedication but also to foster personal growth. Their exemplary
performance in various roles not only demonstrated their unwavering commitment to excellence
but also laid the groundwork for continued success in their academic and professional endeavors.
