Keep these towels hanging around for Halloween. Applique a bat to a


hand towel for an instant bath accent.
FINISHED SIZE FINISHING
Depends on towel 1. Sew on the bat eyes in the
desired location.
CUTTING
From the black felt, cut:
1 bat, using the template provided

ASSEMBLING THE TOWEL


1. Press any wrinkles from the
towel and mark the center
point along one short hemmed
edge.
2. Mark the center of the bat.
Matching centers, pin the bat
in place along the towel hem
edge, overlapping the wing
edge about ½" (1.27cm) onto
the towel.
SUPPLIES (FOR EACH TOWEL)
3. Edgestitch the wing overlap
Coats & Clark Dual Duty XP® All-purpose Thread area, backstitching at each end.
9" x 12" (22.86cm x 30.48cm) heavy washable felt
Hand towel—terry, cotton or linen
2 sew-on, 7mm wiggle eyes*
*If sew-on eyes aren’t available, use glue-on eyes with a permanent
and washable glue.
