• Ready-made child’s T-shirt
• 1
⁄4 yd (22.86cm) white sparkly fabric
• 9” (22.86cm) square of rainbow faux fur
• 1
⁄3 yd (30.48cm) single-strand sequins
• Paper-back fusible web
• Tear-away stabilizer
• Removable marker

Preparation Assemble the Appliqué

the seam and clip the corner, then turn the ear right
side out. Press.
5. Turn under the lower ear edge and fold a center
pleat. Hand-stitch the ear lower edge to the unicorn
in the desired location. Do not stitch the entire ear
flat.
6. Hand-stitch two rows of sequins to the lower unicorn
edge.
7. Cut a 11⁄2” (3.81cm) strip of fur across the grain,
cutting only through the backing, not the pile.
Fold the strip in half, matching long raw edges and
whipstitch both edges together to the back and top
of the unicorn, tucking it under the ear. Trim the pile
for the desired look.
8. Because of the fur and sequins, it’s best to gently
hand-wash this shirt.
