7. Cấu trúc có Too/So/Enough
+) S + V + too + adj/adv (for sb) to do sth = S + not + V +adj/adv + enough + : quá… để
làm gì/ không đủ …để làm gì
VD: she is too young to get married
= she is not old enough to get maried ( cô ấ y quá trẻ để kết hôn)
+) S + tobe + so + adj + that Clause = S+ tobe + such (a/ an) N that … : quá đến nỗi mà
VD: She is so beautiful that everybody loves her = She is such a beautiful girl that everybody
loves her. (Cô ấ y qúa đẹp đến nỗ i mà ai cũ ng yêu cô ấ y)

+) Prefer doing sth to doing sth = Would rather do sth than do sth = Like sth/doing sth

9. Can = tobe able to = tobe possible

10. S + had + hardly + VpII when/before + S + Vpast
= S + Had + no sooner + VpII+ than + S + Vpast
Đao ngữ:
+) Harly + had +S + V(P2) when S + V_past: ngay sau khi … thì …
= No sooner + had +S + V(P2) than S + V_past

= No longer + dạng đảo ngữ S = no more V

12. At no time + dạng đảo ngữ : không khi nào, chẳng khi nào
VD: I don’t think she loves me (Tôi không nghĩ cô ấ y yêu tôi)
= At no time do I think she loves me (Chẳ ng khi nào tôi nghĩ cô ấ y yêu tôi)
13. Tobe not worth doing sth = there is no point in doing sth : không đáng, vô ích làm gì
VD: It’s not worth making him get up early (Thậ t vô ích khi gọ i anh ta dậ y sớ m)

14. It seems that = It appears that = It is likely that = It look as if/ as though: dường như
rằng
VD: It seems that he will come late = It appears that / It is likely that he will come late
= He is likely to come late = It look as if he will come late (Dườ ng như anh ta sẽ đến muộ n)
15. Not………until ……..: không cho tới khi
= Not until + clause/ N + Đả o ngữ ( Auxiliary + s + v)

=> Not until the early 1960s did man fly into space.
16. Need to V = tobe necessary (for sb) to V: cần làm gì
VD: You don’t need to send her message (Bạ n không cầ n gử i tin nhắ n cho cô ấ y)
= It’s not necessary for you to send her message
17. Although + clause = In spite of + Noun/gerund = Despite + Noun/gerund: mặc dù …
Although she is ill, she go to school

18. S + often + V = S + be accustomed to + Ving = S + be used to +Ving /N: quen với làm gì

21. It’s one’s duty to do sth = S + be + supposed to do sth: trách nhiệm của ai phải làm gì
It’s their duty to do this job = They are supposed to do this job.
22. S + should/ had better/ ought to + V = S + be + supposed to do sth: đã dự định làm gì
He should/ had better/ ought to study tonight = He is supposed to study tonight
23. +) Imperative verb (mệnh lệnh)= S + should (not) + be + V(P2): không nên làm gì

26. S + V + so that/ in order that+ S + V = S + V + to + infinitive: … vì vậy …

27. To infinitive or gerund + be + adj = It + be + adj + to + V
Studying english is very important = It is important to study english
28. S + V + and + S + V = S + V + both … and: … vừa … vừa
