Core Value - Compassion
Compassion is the foundation upon which we build strong connections,
creating a supportive community that thrives on kindness. The power of
compassion inspires collaboration, resilience, and a genuine concern for the
well-being of all. By embracing compassion as a core value, we strive to make
a positive impact in the broader world.
Playgroup:
SAND PLAY:
Sand play serves as a cornerstone of early childhood development. As children dig
their hands into the soft grains, they embark on a sensory journey, exploring
textures and shapes. Through imaginative play, they construct intricate landscapes,
fostering creativity and problem-solving skills. Sand play also helps enhance motor
skills, develops social and emotional awareness, and improves language and
speech.

Pre-KG:
Gross Motor Skills:
Gross motor skills are important for a child's overall physical development, posture,
coordination, and balance. Learning these basic movements helps children move from
one position to another smoothly and efficiently. Gross motor skills impact their
endurance to cope with a full day of school (sitting upright at a desk, moving between
classrooms, carrying school bags) and also impact their ability to navigate the
environment.
KG 1:
Groups of 2:
A set of objects that resemble a group is called a pair. A pair consists of two
objects, which is a multiple of 2. It also indicates a binary operation.
Introducing children to pairs can help them develop problem-solving skills
and critical thinking. It can also assist in clarifying the concept of odd and
even numbers.

KG 2:
UOI: The "Animals Sorting Activity" encourages children to explore the diverse
world of living things and their habitats. Through this activity, children get to
learn about the unique characteristics of various animals and how they adapt to
their environments. By sorting and categorizing the animals based on their
habitats, children develop a better understanding of the complex relationships
between living beings and their surroundings.
Primary
Frayers model.
Students watched videos on different types of materials. They reflected their
understanding about natural and artificial material through Frayer's model.

My Favourite Animal
Students of Grade 1 described their favourite animal using adjectives such that a
picture is formed in the reader's mind.
Exploring Imagination Through Play
With a burst of creativity and imagination, our young learners of Grade 2
embarked on an adventurous journey through imaginative play, all in the pursuit
of honing their non-verbal communication skills. Through role-playing and
improvisation, they explored the subtle nuances of non-verbal communication,
from facial expressions to body language.

Value of the Month - Patience

Learners of grade 3 were involved in inculcating value of month the 'Patience'
through video watching followed by writing. It is basically recognizing the
importance and worth of being patient in various aspects of life. Patience often
leads to better decision-making, improved relationships, and increased resilience
in facing challenges.
3 - 2 - 1 Bridge
Learners of Grade 4 researched on a type of government system and reflected it
through 3,2,1 thinking routine. Each one mentioned 3 things they had learnt, 2
new words they came across and 1 question they have after the research work.

Tuning In
Learners of grade 5 are in the first process of their PYPX process. As part of their inquiry
process, they are not only developing their research skills but also honing their
communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills. They are learning to ask meaningful
questions, gather and analyze information, and present their findings in a clear and
compelling manner. The PYPX process is not just about completing a project; it's about
nurturing a love for learning and empowering students to become lifelong learners and
responsible global citizens.
ICT Corner

Grade 4 is diving into their Unit of Inquiry(UOI)topic! This week, they're honing
their presentation skills by creating presentations in the ICT lab.

Our enthusiastic Grade 5 students are putting their ICT skills to the test by
creating websites for the upcoming PYP exhibition! Be sure to check out their

“GOOD TEACHERS EMPATHIZE WITH KIDS; RESPECT THEM AND BELIEVE THAT
EACH ONE HAS SOMETHING SPECIAL THAT CAN BE BUILT UP ON.”
-ANN LIBERMAN

I am Ambika, and I have completed BEd for hearing-impaired children. I started

my career in 2009, with empathy, patience, adaptability, and a deep understanding
of individualized learning needs. Then I stepped into our TIPS family in 2022. Here
I have displayed my expertise in designing and implementing effective
instructional strategies for students with diverse learning. I have also collaborated
with multi-disciplinary teams, including teachers, therapists, and parents to
provide comprehensive support for students with special needs.
TIPS offered me a wonderful opportunity to have an intensive training on Dyslexia
by the Madras Dyslexia Association. Through this, I learned the experience of
treating children with learning difficulties. TIPS is a place where unique skills
flourish, and we have an opportunity to implement strategies that help the
children to explore, learn, and grow.
Our environment is always filled with positivity which helps me to build the
foundation of the future young learner. I feel blessed and proud to be a special
educator in TIPS. I am deeply grateful to the Management, Principal, and Co-
ordinator for giving me this opportunity to showcase my skills and knowledge for
the benefit of children.
