Merry Christmas!
ACNA Assembly 2012 - you are invited...

Glory to God!
As we dive into the Christmas Season, it is always with the reminder that our vision is to give glory to God in all we do here at the diocese. November marked our third annual ADNE Synod. It was such a joy to meet with you and your Synod representatives and to praise God together for all He has done over the past three years. A look back included the vision of small group discipleship worked out at three seminars in 2011, culminating in a cooperative venture with Anglican1000. We praise God for your implementation of this vision as you and lay leadership have put feet on small group discipleship. We are seeing house churches and missions sprouting throughout the diocese. Lay Pastors

12 leaders with the new position of Lay Pastor. These are the men and women who gather, lead, care for and disciple the small communities that are Mission Stations. In 2012 we are intent on providing training and an appropriate supportive structure to cast a vision for what God is doing here in New England engage more leaders in the expansion of the mission we share provide real entry level discernment for men and women who want to test a call to Holy Orders. Moving forward as a diocese on mission means that the front line of church planting is not just evangelism by a few on occasion, but rather the living community of faith engaging the lives of people beyond the Sunday morning church experience. For more information on our Lay Pastor initiative, visit my page at ad-ne.org. This year I praise God for the firstborn son, wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger. May we be His young church in New England, giving Him all the Glory!

It is not too early to start thinking about 2012. The Anglican Church in North America is holding its Assembly June 7-9th at Ridgecrest Conference Center in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina. What a great way to vacation this summer and continue the ADNE vision of church planting (plus take in the vistas of the Blue Ridge Mountains). This years Assembly will be about celebrating what the Father has been doing and looking forward to to what He longs to accomplish through us. Attendees can expect powerful worship that embraces the fullness of Anglican worship and identity and the beauty of our liturgy. In additon to dedicated times for fellowship, Assembly will feature speakers and special guests for Bible teachings, plenary sessions and workshops. Hop on to the ACNA website (AnglicanChurch.net) and get more information plus an early bird discount!
