( Simple present & Present continuous)

I, Hiện tại đơn (Simple present)

A, Định nghĩa

- Thì hiện tại đơn (Simple present) là một thì trong tiếng Anh, được sử
dụng để diễn tả sự thật hiển nhiên hoặc những sự việc xảy ra thường
xuyên chẳng hạn như thói quen, lịch trình và sự sắp xếp cố định.
- Ví dụ:

She eats an apple every morning. (Cô ấy ăn một quả táo mỗi sáng.)

The cat jumps over the fence. (Con mèo nhảy qua hàng rào.)

She is not my girlfriend. (Cô ấy không phải là bạn gái tôi.)

- Dấu hiệu nhận biết: Các trạng từ chỉ tần suất như:
 Always (luôn luôn) , Often (thường xuyên), Usually (thường xuyên),
Sometimes (thỉnh thoảng), Seldom (hiếm khi), Rarely (hiếm khi),
Never (không bao giờ)
 Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly (hàng ngày, hàng tuần, hàng
tháng, hàng quý, hàng năm)
 Once/ twice/ three times/ four times….. a day/ week/ month/ year…….
(một lần/ hai lần/ ba lần/ bốn lần ……..mỗi ngày/ tuần/ tháng/ năm)

B, Cấu trúc

- Đối với động từ tobe:

 (+) S + am/ is/ are + N/ Adj
 (-) S + am/are/is + not +N/ Adj (is not = isn’t are not = aren’t)
  (?) Am/ Are/ Is (not) + S + N/Adj? Wh- + am/ are/ is (not) + S +
N/Adj?
- Đối với động từ thường:
(+) S + V(s/es) + (O)…
(-) S + do/ does + not + V-infinitive + (O)…
(?) Do/ Does (not) + S + V-infinitive?

II, Hiện tại tiếp diễn (Present continuous)

A, Định nghĩa

- Thì hiện tại tiếp diễn (Present continuous) được sử dụng để diễn tả
hành động/sự việc đang diễn ra ở thời điểm hiện tại. Hành động/sự việc
đó vẫn chưa chấm dứt, còn tiếp tục diễn ra.

- Ví dụ:
 He is working on a project for his company, trying to meet the
deadline. (Anh ấy đang làm việc trên một dự án cho công ty của
mình, cố gắng hoàn thành đúng thời hạn.)
 They are hiking in the mountains, enjoying the beautiful scenery
around them. (Họ đang leo núi, thưởng thức cảnh đẹp xung quanh.)
- Dấu hiệu nhận biết: Trong câu thì hiện tại tiếp diễn có các trạng từ chỉ
thời gian như sau: now (hiện nay, ngay lúc này), at the moment (tại thời
điểm này), at present (hiện tại), right now (ngay bây giờ), v.v… hay các
động từ có tính đề nghị và mệnh lệnh như: look, listen, be quiet, v.v

B, Cấu trúc

Với động từ tobe:

 (+) S + am/is/are + V-ing
 (-) S + am/is/are + not + V-ing
 (Yes/no question) Is/ am/ are + S + Ving?
  (Wh- question) Wh- + is/ am/ are + (not) + S + V-ing?
