ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
The International Conference on Sustainable and Resilient
Infrastructure (ICSRI2024) will be held in hybrid mode at NIT
Durgapur, West Bengal, India during 05th – 06th December 2024.
The objective of the conference is to provide an update on the
recent advancements in the fields of infrastructure engineering
towards sustainability, by bringing together the global research
community, students, faculty and practicing engineers to a
single platform to share their knowledge. ICSRI2024 aims to
become the leading platform to provide innovative solutions to
the various problems faced during the infrastructural
development. ICSRI2024 intends to present and discuss
advancements in relevant fields and to foster an environment
conducive to the exchange of ideas and information. ICSRI2024
is determined to provide a scientific exposure to the young
researchers to recent advancements in infrastructure
developments in view of the UN's goals of sustainability.
ABOUT NIT DURGAPUR
National Institute of Technology Durgapur was established as
one of the 17 Regional Engineering Colleges in 1960 as a joint
venture of the Government of India and the Government of
West Bengal. The Institute has now been declared as an
“Institute of National Importance” by the Govt. of India, vide
NIT Act 2007 (29 of 2007) implemented on August 15, 2007. It
started with only four branches of engineering: Civil,
Mechanical, Metallurgical and Electrical Engineering for
undergraduate studies in 1960. Chemical Engineering was
started in 1964. At present, the Institute offers nine B. Tech.
program and sixteen M. Tech. programs. Besides, a three year
MCA program and two-year MBA program are also offered.
The Institute has also introduced M. Sc. programs in Physics,
Chemistry and Mathematics with Computer Applications. NIT
Durgapur is located in the heartland of industrial activities and
the mineral-rich region of West Bengal, also known as ‘The
Ruhr of India’. The city of Durgapur is well connected by rail
with Kolkata, 158 km away, and is an important railway station
on the main New Delhi-Kolkata route. It is a two and a half
hours’ drive from Kolkata airport along Durgapur Expressway
and NH2. The institute is situated at 10 km from Durgapur
Railway station and 15 km from Kazi Nazrul Islam Airport
(Durgapur).
ABOUT DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL ENGINEERING
The Department of Civil Engineering is one of the oldest
Departments with UG course in this Institute and it was
functioning from the inception of the Regional Engineering
offers B.Tech. in Civil Engineering, M.Tech. in Structural
Engineering and Geotechnical Engineering and Ph.D. degree
programs. The Department is also actively engaged in the
interdisciplinary academic and research activity within and
outside the Institute and in R&D, testing and consultancy
activities and offer testing and consultancy services to various
government departments and organizations in both the public
and private sectors.
CALL FOR PAPERS
ICSRI2024 invites an abstract within 250-300 words of original
research work with Title, Author's Name, Affiliation, Email and
maximum of five keywords under any one of the conference
themes. Abstracts should be submitted through the abstract
submission form. The detailed procedure for submitting full-
length manuscript will be uploaded in conference website and
also intimated to the authors upon the acceptance of the
submitted abstract.
THEMES OF THE CONFERENCE
ICSRI2024 will focus on the main theme of sustainable
practices/approaches in infrastructure developments across
the globe. Articles are invited in the following areas (not limited
to) indicating breakthroughs and innovations in
Civil/Infrastructure Engineering towards sustainability.

 Applications of AI & ML in Infrastructure Development
