STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Respected Sir/Ma'am

I'm delighted to introduce myself as Ajay Sunchuri, born on 23 February 2006, as a son of Mr. Aksha
Kumar Sunchuri and Mrs. Saraswati Sunchuri, a permanent resident of Manthali Municipality-1,
Ramechhap, Nepal, holding passport number BA0089847. I am extremely grateful to write my statement
of purpose for pursuing a Diploma in E-commerce and Online Business Management at Trebas Institute in
Montreal, Canada. Here I have discussed my educational background and plans for my future career in
order to achieve a goal profitably. I have already been accepted by Trebas Institute for E-commerce and
Online Business Management Program and it is scheduled to begin in September 2024 and lasts for 2
years. Without a doubt, I vouch for the accuracy of the following statements about my background and
professional goals.

FAMILY BACKGROUND

I am fortunate to have a family of three, which consists of my father, my mother and me. My family has
always wanted me to be a knowledgeable and well-respected professional. My family continuously
provides me with financial, emotional and practical support, which allows me to reach my full potential.
My parents are ready for the investment in my education as they strongly believe that investment in
education never goes in vain. Hence, I will not be facing any sort of financial crisis during my study period
in Canada.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

Regarding my academic credentials, I earned a 3.00 GPA while completing my Secondary Education (SEE)
in 2021 from Manthali MA VI located in Manthali, Ramechhap, Nepal. Similarly, I completed my Higher
Secondary School (grade 12) in November 2023 with a 2.76 GPA studying the Management stream with
major accounting and economics from Manthali Secondary School, Ramechhap,Nepal. During my free time
after finishing high school, I worked at LB Modern Electronic Institute Pvt. Ltd. as a Online Digital Marketor.
After that, I started preparing for the Pearson Test of English (PTE). I took my PTE exam on November 28,
2022 and obtained a score of 60 (Listening 57, Reading 62, Writing 61 and Speaking 63) which made me
eligible for admission in a institution of my choice.

IMMIGRATION HISTORY

Regarding my immigration history, I have not applied for any kind of visas to any country in the past.

WHY NOT NEPAL AND OTHER COUNTRIES?

It is an undeniable fact that Nepal is prosperous in human resource, natural resource but it lacks quality
education and skilled human resource. Therefore, I decided to become a skilled workforce to help my
country in a better way which would not be possible by studying in my country. The reason behind it is the
education system which is not recognized as it does not produce manpower according to the need of
contemporary market. This is because of the age old teaching methodology, lack of internships, rarely
updated course content, feebly researched syllabus, burdensome course units based on memorization,
teachers with no industry experience and poorly managed infrastructure such as library, transportation,
classrooms and so on. In addition to that, there are fewer scholarships available along with ever
influencing politics such as no timely publishing of results, locking dean’s office and more. In fact, the
annual education expenditure is extremely low, at 11.64 percent of the Rs 1,474.64 billion national budget
in the fiscal year 2020–2021. I researched some universities and colleges in Nepal such as Tribhuvan
University (http://www.tribhuvan-university.edu.np/), Pokhara University (https://pu.edu.np/), ISMT
College (https://www.ismt.edu.np/), The British College (https://www.thebritishcollege.edu.np/) and
Islington College (https://islington.edu.np/). While looking at above mentioned institutions, I figured out
that they were far behind in providing practical education compared to the global standard of education.
Also the syllabus itself that most institutions in Nepal follow today are now out dated which makes
Nepalese education system based only on theoretical knowledge and it is well known that both theoretical
and practical knowledge are equally important in today’s world.

On the other hand, I did not want to choose Australia, the USA, the UK and other European countries
because, Australia is too populated with international students and the living cost in Australia is higher
than in Canada. There are too long hot seasons opposed to Canada. Estimated education cost in Canada
ranges between $10,000 and $30,000 per year opposed to 3 to 5 thousand more in Australia. On the other
hand, living cost is also cheaper in Canada that is $12 to 14 thousand per year which is around $20,000 in
Australia. In addition, Canada is ranked fourth globally in terms of the preferences of foreign students.
Additionally, 32 of its universities are among the top 100 according to Times Higher Education. According
to the Numbeo report on the safety index by country in 2022, Canada's safety index is 57.05, much higher
than other popular studies abroad destinations such as the U.K. (53.53), the U.S. (51.84), and Australia
(56.15). In the U.K, tuition and living costs tend to be higher than in Canada. When I have searched over
the internet, I got to know that so many universities and colleges are blacklisted in UK, and the deportation
of hundreds of aspiring students. So, I dropped the idea of studying in UK. In the USA, I found that the
course structure is not as per my requirement and the fee structure is very high. In addition to this, the
living expenses are also very high. Also, in USA, there is requirement to take SAT examination other than
IELTS, PTE and TOFEL which require lot of time for preparation. In the case of European countries such as
Germany, France, and Spain, the issue of language became a significant barrier as it will be challenging to
assimilate without knowing the local language.

WHY CANADA OVER OTHER COUNTRIES?

Upon understanding the overall benefits of choosing the right destination, I started searching and
comparing features available in different countries like Canada, the USA and the UK. The comparison
would be beneficial in creating the perfect blend of all accompanying factors that gratify the overall
experience a student can achieve. Canada has constantly maintained its position as the highly evolved,
technologically supported and quality driven education system which provides globally recognized degrees
with employable individuals.

Firstly, I went through the internet and searched for the universities and probable programs in the USA on

https://www.studyin-uk.com/. Likewise, for Australia I went through various other websites like

.com/. Furthermore, I got to know about Canadian education from these websites;

seniors, teachers, Consultancies, relatives and other acquaintances helped me to know about living and
studying in various countries. After making a comparison based on my academic preferences, I decided to
pursue my studies in Canada. Canada is one of the most popular educational destinations for a majority of
students from Nepal as well as from other countries. Canada is renowned as an "education hub" because it
maintains the highest standard of international study with its globally recognized courses and degrees,
cultural diversity, friendly locals, influence on research, and reputation among academics and employers.
The practical experience within the bachelor program will pave my way to a better career.

Canada enjoys a worldwide reputation for academic excellence, offering internationally recognized
qualifications with career development opportunities. It has a modern, highly educated culture with a
thirst for knowledge and research. It has a highly developed education system and it provides practical
based and research-based education system. All these exciting and fascinating factors incite the true
learner in me and have truly influenced me to drive my decision.

WHY Trebas Institute?

When I chose Canada, I began to research institutions that provide courses which I was looking for.
Likewise, I went through websites of various colleges and universities which provide my desired course like
CDI College, Ascent College, Matrix College, College Canada, and so on. After all this research, I found
Trebas Institute to be the best institution.

This Institute has a modern style building, fully restored classrooms, fully resourced computer rooms,
student open space, counseling rooms for meetings with the student and staff, adequate acoustics,
ventilation and lighting, computers with access to the Internet and online learning platform. This helps
students to share their opinions and views. Along with this, teaching professionals are well trained and can
deliver us to a greater extent. I found out that the E-Commerce and Online Business Management offered
by Trebas Institute is comparatively more affordable (Annual tuition fee is CAD $13250) compared to
above mentioned institutions. Trebas Institute is a private university established in 1979 in Montreal,
Canada. It has been dedicated to its quality and practical based education system which impressed me
greatly. Trebas Institute’s degrees are designed to equip graduates with professional knowledge and skills

WHY Diploma in E-commerce and Online Business Management?

Personal interests and career aspirations aside, here are some reasons why I view a Diploma in E-
commerce and Online Business Management as a solid foundation for a career in digital business. The
program covers essential digital business functions, including e-commerce strategy, digital marketing,
online retail operations, data analytics, and web development, preparing students for the challenges of the
modern online business environment. Additionally, soft skills like digital communication are emphasized.

The diploma develops practical, managerial, and communication skills, enhancing business decision-
making capabilities in an online context. Courses such as Introduction to E-commerce, Digital Marketing
Strategies, Web Analytics, and Cybersecurity for Online Businesses provide a comprehensive education.

The growing digital business landscape continuously creates new job opportunities, making this diploma a
popular choice. It equips students with both theoretical and practical knowledge, increasing their market

FINANCIAL ARRANGEMENTS:

My parents are fully aware of my tuition fees, living expenses, travel expenses, and other additional
expenses. They are willing to fully support me for the entire duration of my studies in Canada. The
expenses are covered by an education loan from Prime Bank Limited and income from my parents. The
annual income of my parents from Business and Houserent is CAD 40856.63. To ensure stable funding
during my tenure, Prime Bank has also provided a sum of CAD 45657.47 as part of an educational loan for
my studies, which is sufficient to pay my tuition fees and cover my living expenses. I also have a bank
balance worth of CAD 25707.97 at Prabhu Bank for my living expenses and travel expenses I have already
paid my first year tuition fees. The verified document of my financial arrangements and sponsorship is
attached with the application. The below table shows the financial condition of my parents.

FUTURE PLAN

After completing my studies in a country like Canada, I can be confident that I will be able to get a job or
start my own business in my country or any other country in the world. That is because I think no one can
deny the fact that I have proof of Canadian Education and that too from Trebas Institute where I will learn
different topics that domestic graduates will lack. This will be my strong point to bargain for salary and
post in any of the business and financial organization in my own country. The E-commerce and Online
Business Management program rigorously covers a wide range of core digital business functions, including
e-commerce strategy, digital marketing, online operations, data analytics, and web development,
preparing students for on-the-job challenges. This qualification from Trebas Institute can lead me to build
a career in various fields such as Financial Services, IT Services, Health Care, Manufacturing, Real Estate,
Banking & Insurance, and Retail. After completing my desired program from Trebas Institute, I will return
to my home country. I will be able to work as an E-commerce Specialist, Digital Marketing Manager, Web
Analyst, Project Coordinator, Data Analyst, Online Business Manager, Client Advisor (Digital Markets), and
Financial Planner in reputed companies in Nepal. There is no doubt that I will have a lucrative career in
Nepal. As I have researched, various businesses, industries, and financial institutions need professional
expertise in e-commerce and online business management. They have been hiring locally produced
graduates but are not achieving the desired output due to a lack of practical education in Nepal.

I intend to return to Nepal after gaining the utmost knowledge and experience from Canada. My plan is to
start my career in e-commerce and online business management in my own country. Specialists in this
field help organizations improve their online presence and business processes. They identify business areas
that can be enhanced to increase efficiency and strengthen digital strategies. The main roles include
analyzing digital data models, developing innovative online solutions, and ensuring cost-effective digital
operations. Nepal is currently expanding its digital business sectors. I can work in global corporations like
Chaudhary Group, Bottlers Nepal, Unilever Nepal Ltd., Surya Nepal, NCELL, and Daraz. Moreover, Nepal's
IT, industrial, financial, and banking sectors are growing, with the opening of branch offices of foreign
businesses and financial companies. E-commerce and digital business management professionals are in
high demand across various industries, including tourism, medical, and production industries, which are
rapidly expanding in Nepal. Furthermore, the credential from Trebas Institute will make me a valued
professional in my home country and will open many doors to achieve my career goals.

MOTIVATION TO RETURN BACK

My decision to return to Nepal after completing the E-commerce and Online Business Management
program is driven by several compelling factors. Firstly, the skills and knowledge I will acquire will be highly
sought after in Nepal, where businesses are increasingly looking for experts in digital transformation and
online business strategies. This creates ample job opportunities for me in various sectors, such as IT,
finance, retail, and more. Secondly, the strong support network of my family, friends, and community in
Nepal is invaluable. Their presence provides a sense of belonging and emotional stability that is crucial for
personal and professional growth. Most importantly, I am deeply committed to contributing to Nepal's
development. By applying my expertise in e-commerce and online business management, I can help local
businesses modernize and compete on a global scale.

Moreover, my cultural and emotional ties to Nepal play a significant role in my decision. I have always felt
a profound connection to my homeland and a desire to give back to the society that nurtured me.
Additionally, as the responsible son, I have a strong sense of duty towards my parents. It is important for
me to be there for them in their later years, just as they have always been there for me. Furthermore,
managing and preserving our family’s assets and inheritance is a responsibility I take seriously. These
personal and professional motivations collectively ensure that my long-term goal is to return to Nepal and
make a meaningful impact in my home country after completing my studies at Trebas Institute.

STUDENT VISA OBLIGATIONS

There are special conditions for study permission for international students who wish to study in Canada. I
have noted the study permit conditions listed below:

 I must be enrolled at a designated educational institution (DLI).

 I must inform IRCC if I am changing post-secondary schools.
 I must terminate my studies if I no longer meet the requirements as a student.
 I must leave Canada when my residency permit expires and meet the other specific conditions
listed on my study permit.
