USANA Health Sciences is seeking a motivated, detail oriented, and analytical college student

to join our research and development microbiome product development team as a summer
intern.

As an intern on this team, you will be responsible for helping with the development of
microbiome related products through the review of literature, vendor documentation, and study
data. Additionally, there may be opportunities to analyze microbiome study data to assist in
identifying opportunities for new product exploration and existing product substantiation. You
will also be asked to compile clear and concise reports and presentations. As a team, we will
work to utilize the compiled information for cross-functional team concept presentations and
formula development.

In this position, you will gain valuable work experience that – when coupled with your education
– will help prepare you for future employment. Your ability to work with microbiome datasets
and think critically will be key to success.

Essential Functions

• Review microbiome literature and ingredient documentation for formula development

and substantiation
• Communicate effectively through listening, clear and concise reporting, documentation,
and presentation
• Work with other teams within the company to share results and generate ideas
• Perform other duties as assigned or needed

Qualifications/Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Requirements

• Pursuing or immediately graduated from a college or university with a degree in

microbiology, bioinformatics, computer science, statistics, or another similar field
• Must be in good academic standing
• Strong foundation in microbiome and metagenomic data and concepts
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Experience with data evaluation and analysis
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and complete projects under deadlines
