Moreover, choices may vary from person to person and their interests. This list is based on general trends and focuses on trends placement
and reputation over interests.
Please note the following 6 points before filling in the sheet:
1. CSAI is an emerging branch and high in demand, that's why we have kept it above CSE, however it is advised to be considered by students who are interested in
higher studies and are specifically research oriented. This branch is fairly challenging and its content is mathematically intensive. If the student's major inclination
is towards placements then it is advisable to opt for CSE over CSAI.
2. We have kept DTU MCE over ECE and mechanical of other colleges because of more job opportunities. Needless to add, one should have interest in
mathematics and computers for this branch.
3. If you have serious interest in research-based study, please prefer IIIT D over NSUT. You can also prefer IIIT D CSAM over DTU/NSUT IT and software .
4. If you want to study in DTU and NSUT and do not have much interest in CS, and want to do MBA later, then you can bring down IGDTUW CS/IT/ECE after other
branches of NSUT/DTU.
5. IIIT CSD is a very specialised course and you should prioritise it only if you have a knack for design.
6. If you are opting for IIIT Delhi, to excel there, it would be great if you have prior knowledge of coding in C++/Java/Python.
