3. Basic Gameplay
User Interface (UI)
The UI includes your action bars, minimap, character portrait, and other essential elements.
Customize it by accessing the game’s settings or using add-ons.
Movement: W, A, S, D keys.
Abilities: Number keys (1-0) and other keybindings.
Interacting: Right-click to interact with NPCs and objects.
Camera: Use the mouse to look around.
Quests are the primary method of leveling up. They provide experience, gold, and gear. Follow
the quest markers on your minimap and read quest logs for directions.
Secondary Professions
Profession Tips
Choose professions that complement each other (e.g., Mining and Blacksmithing).
Level your professions as you level your character to stay current with available recipes
and materials.
Use the Dungeon Finder tool (default key: "I") to queue for dungeons. It matches you with other
players to complete 5-man dungeons.
Raid Finder
Similar to Dungeon Finder, the Raid Finder (available at level 60) helps you find groups for
larger, more challenging raids.
Structured PvP scenarios where teams compete to complete objectives. Examples include
Warsong Gulch (capture the flag) and Arathi Basin (control points).
Arenas
Small-scale PvP battles (2v2, 3v3, 5v5) where teams fight until one side is eliminated.
World PvP
Open-world PvP can occur in contested zones. Participate in events like city raids and world
quests.
7. Endgame Content
Gearing Up
At max level, improve your gear through dungeons, raids, PvP, and world quests. Gear
progression is crucial for tackling higher-level content.
Mythic+ Dungeons
Challenging dungeons with increasing difficulty levels and affixes. Completing these within a
time limit grants powerful rewards.
Raiding
Large-scale PvE content requiring coordination and strategy. Raids are divided into difficulties:
LFR (Looking for Raid), Normal, Heroic, and Mythic.
Join a guild to find like-minded players, access guild perks, and participate in group activities.
Use the in-game guild finder or forums.
