What is DeepFlows?

DeepFlows’ mission is to solve tra c congestion while delivering shippable intermediaries.

How do you solve tra c congestion with 1 shot? You just can’t! You have to split the problem into
smaller chunks (understanding how people move around, increasing road safety, promoting
public transport and soft modes, optimising tra c lights etc...) and take action by addressing
each. We found out that getting accurate & granular data is a common denominator of all those
smaller chunks to be solved. As Lord Kelvin said, “If you can’t measure it. You can’t improve it.”.
Reducing the time, the cost and the complexity of extracting tra c data is the 1st shippable
intermediary of our mission.

We believe in intelligent transport infrastructures coping with rising urbanisation rates and
induced tra c congestion. To measure what’s going on over the infrastructure, we leverage
deep learning techniques applied to computer vision. Why computer vision? Because it is the
only deterministic approach to capture microscopic tra c data. We bring value to transport
planners, governments and city councils.

Requirements:

You need to be smart, extremely curious, keen to get stuck in and eager to learn new skills. You

What will you be doing?

Qualified candidates will use their experience in Computer Vision and Software Engineering in
the following areas:

● Machine Learning / Deep Learning:

○ Use collected image/video data in the smartest possible way in order to allow
the device to understand the environment better than with traditional
algorithms
○ Model fine-tuning
○ Optimise State-of-the-art object detection techniques
○ Build training pipelines to automate processes

● Software Engineering

○ You will build a state-of-the-art real-time video processing system – Your

experience with writing high-performance, reliable, and sustainable software is
your personal mission
○ You will contribute to building a product using diverse cloud technologies
○ Write optimised algorithms for dedicated metric computation
○ Maintain CI/CD workflows

Qualifications:

To succeed in this position you need to have:

● Experience with modern machine learning algorithms in particular image processing &
computer vision.
● Hands-on experience with integrating deep learning solutions into High-performance
systems.
● Excellent problem solving, critical thinking
● Proficiency in one of the following languages: Python, C/C++. Excellent scripting skills.
