Objectives:
1- Identify the graph of a function.
2- Obtain information from the equation of a function.
3- Obtain information from or about the graph of a function.

1- Identify the Graph of a Function

1) We draw vertical lines.


2) If each vertical line cross the graph once, then the graph represents a
function.
3) If one of the lines (at least one) cross the graph more than once, then the
graph does not represent a function.

Example 1: Which of the graphs are graphs of functions. Justify your answer.
