Introduction

Nowadays, looking for the standard path for a career might be cumbersome in the busy and
competitive market of work. Various variables are there come into play which include
responsibilities of employment, company mission, job industries, prospect of remuneration etc.
But a person’s fundamental values, morals and ethical standards are continuously disregarded in
this procedure. These are the leading standards which assist a person to develop his/her
personality and create their morals. My desired field of job is as a Financial Advisor. In this
assignment, I will first identify and provide a prioritized list of moral values and principles which
I keep dear to my heart. Following that I will analyze how these affect my job hunt and discuss
trade-offs that I might feel necessary to get my desired position.

Establishing a priority list of significant

values and ethical standards
I will create a cornerstone by developing a prioritized list of basic ethical principles and morals
that I will affirm in my professional career prior to looking for jobs.

Harmony of Personal Life and Work Life: To live a healthy life and for my physical well-
being it is mandatory to make a proper harmony between my work life and personal life. Each
life has equal value for me, and I always try to maintain a perfect balance between them. So, I
will look for jobs where the environment will consider these boundaries.

Honour for Diversity and Inclusiveness: In a job environment there could be employees from
different countries, ethnicities and backgrounds. So, paying respect and treating all the
employees with justice and importance is a prime entity of embracing diversity. For this reason, I
will find jobs that will consider and respect diversity and inclusion so that my efficiency and
adeptness get admired rather than who I am.

Legal Service or Product: The sustainability of a product or service is a very significant term,
and it depends on whether the product or service is legal or not. So, I will look for only those
positions in the company that offer only legal and ethical services with sustainable standards.

Fairness regarding Wages and Salaries: Salaries and wages are more sensitive and prime
things for me in a company. While I believe in working with full dedication and integrity also, I
believe in getting a good amount of remuneration based on my efforts. I will find a company
where this prime matter will be taken as very good consideration and will compensate me for my
abilities and skills.

Impact on Job Inquiry

In this portion, I will try to explain how my mentioned principles and morals may affect my job
hunting:

Job Industries: For determining which industry to choose, values and morals are the key
indicators. For example, someone who has values towards social responsibilities will look for
jobs in non-profit organizations but someone who has values towards earning capital will tend to
look for multinational company’s positions for jobs. I have value in financial gains and
investments and improve people’s lives by providing their services and consultations with their
savings and hard-earned money. I am so eager to establish my career in the Accounting and
Finance section for these reasons.

Job Roles: employment Roles: Values can also have an impact on a particular employment role
within a given industry. Human resources or diversity and inclusion departments, for instance,
may appeal to someone who values diversity and inclusion. While examining a career role, I
placed a lot of stress on sustainability concepts.

Expectations for Pay: Salary negotiations can be impacted by values. While someone who
prefers social influence may take a lesser wage for work at a non-profit, someone who values fair
compensation may be less ready to accept low-paying employment. Though stable financial
situation and security are frequently the main considerations when evaluating a given
employment function, I am more inclined to support businesses that engage in CSR initiatives
that have a positive social impact.

Geographical Location: The area in which a person is willing to work may be impacted by
values like adaptability and a healthy balance between work and life. To achieve a better work-
life balance, some people might favour careers that allow for remote work or are in affordable
areas. Any position that calls for me to work in a mixture mode—from both my residence as well
as an office—is more suited to my professional approach and will enable me to manage my job
as well as private responsibilities, in my opinion.

Trade-offs in looking for jobs.

Whereas it is great to match a profession with beliefs and moral principles, to find the perfect
employment, people frequently must make compromises. In my quest for the ideal position for
myself, I may have to make a couple of trade-offs, in my belief:

Payout vs. Social Impact: One such trade-off involves selecting a lucrative career alongside one
that supports ecology or ethical principles. To find employment for a company or industry that
firmly aligns with my beliefs of sustainability and social impact, I could be forced to accept
lesser pay.

Location vs. Job Role: I may value a specific employment position, as although my ideal
workplace does not have such a position accessible easily. subsequently I might have had to
decide between moving or making a concession on the desired position.
Conclusion
In a nutshell, to find worthwhile work, people must mindfully reconcile their moral principles
and personal beliefs with the job prospects that present themselves. The difficult hiring work can
be navigated using more understanding and meaning by creating a clear priority list of values
and criteria. Nevertheless, alternatives are frequently required, and people must strike an
appropriate equilibrium amid their principles and professional aspirations. I may have a
profession that not solely pays to live but also offers a deep sense of fulfillment and ethical
integrity by being strong in my convictions and looking for places of employment as well as
roles that match those values.
