Scenario: Health Mate App

Jordan is embarking on a journey to improve their overall health and wellness. After researching
various options, Jordan decides to download the "Health Mate" app, intrigued by its all-
encompassing approach to health management. The app offers features for tracking dietary intake,
exercise routines, health metrics like weight and heart rate, and scheduling appointments with
health professionals.

On the first day, Jordan explores the app's feature to log daily food intake and water consumption.
The app provides nutritional information and suggests healthier alternatives to high-calorie foods.
Jordan appreciates the reminders to stay hydrated throughout the day.

Jordan is also interested in maintaining a consistent exercise regimen. The app allows Jordan to set
workout goals, choose from a variety of exercise routines, and track progress over time. There's even
a feature to connect with local fitness groups for community runs or yoga sessions.

To monitor health improvements, Jordan regularly uses the app to log weight and heart rate data.
The app displays this data in easy-to-understand charts, showing trends over time. Jordan finds this
motivational and an excellent way to visually track progress.

Recognizing the importance of professional health advice, Jordan uses the app to find local
nutritionists and personal trainers. The app shows available professionals based on user ratings and
expertise areas. Jordan schedules a consultation with a nutritionist to discuss a personalized meal
plan.

As Jordan becomes more familiar with the app, they explore the wellness section, finding meditation
guides and sleep tracking functionalities. The app suggests personalized meditation sessions based
on Jordan's stress levels and sleep patterns, helping improve overall mental well-being.

One evening, Jordan realizes they're low on vitamins and supplements. The app conveniently allows
users to reorder supplies from local health stores and even offers discounts for frequent purchases.

Task Instructions: Story Mapping Exercise Using Miro

Objective:

This exercise aims to develop your skills in story mapping by organizing user stories into a structured
format that represents the development plan for the "Health Mate" app. You will use Miro, an online
collaborative whiteboarding platform, to visualize this process.

Steps:

1. Miro Account Setup

• Navigate to Miro and either sign up for a new account or log into your existing
account.

2. Project Initialization

• Create a new project by selecting the option for a blank project within Miro.

3. Template Acquisition

• Access the specific template for the "Health Mate" app by visiting the following link:
Campus Navigator App Template.

• Import the contents of this template into your blank project, preparing the
workspace for your task.

4. Scenario and User Stories Review

• Thoroughly review the provided scenario and the embedded user stories related to
the "Health Mate" app. This foundational understanding is crucial for accurately
categorizing the user stories.

5. Categorization

• Identify and define at least three (3) primary Categories that represent major
functional areas within the app, based on the user stories and scenario provided.

6. Sub-categorization

• For each identified Category, further define at least two (2) Sub-categories. These
should break down the primary Categories into more specific functional groupings or
user goals.

7. Story Mapping

• Strategically place each of the user stories into their respective Categories and Sub-
categories within the Miro board. Ensure each story is positioned according to its
relevance and priority within the app's development plan.

8. Release Planning
• Utilize your understanding of the app's requirements and your intuition to define
potential releases for the app. Group user stories into release sets that logically fit
together for sequential development phases.

Submission Requirements:

• Ensure that your Miro board clearly depicts the Categories, Sub-categories, and the
placement of user stories as per the instructions.

• Share a link to your completed Miro board as part of your lab submission. Ensure that the
sharing settings allow for viewing by your instructor.
