Day 1 Reflection

Session 1: Characteristic of Learning Organization


1.1 Leading and managing schools as a learning organization in
the new normal.

Reflection: Schooling and learning is two different words that sometimes used
mistakenly. Schooling refers to the time students spend in the school. The school
leader’s role in schooling is doing the routinary tasks or procedural actions in the
school such as conducting meeting, checking of lesson plans, and preparation of
intervention program for implementation for the purpose of improving learning
outcomes. On the other hand, learning is the outcomes itself as a result of the
schooling activities and was considered as tangible or observable event. Learners’
performance on the test is an example of learning. Moreover, RAPID learning
Recovery Framework was also introduced in order to address the certain learning
gaps brought about by new normal setting. Reach all learners, Assess their learning
level, Priorities teaching fundamentals, Increase catch-up learning and progress
beyond what was lost, Develop psychological health and well-being. And lastly,
learning as an organization and in an organization, the collective work of the group
of people is a necessity in order to ensure desirable result.
