1) Describe the location of the disaster (1 paragraph)
The earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 happened on November 3, 2023. It struck northwest
Nepal, Jarjarkot and Rukum Districts, about 250 miles northeast of Kathmandu. Continued,
on November 6, 2023, an aftershock earthquake occurred causing further damage. The
magnitude was approximately 5.6 and has caused extensive damage to the homes and
buildings in western Nepal.
