PROPOSAL MEMOHON PENAJAAN VIVACAD MTDC
When Malaysia launched its research, innovation and enterprise plan which is
Multimedia Super Corridor on 1996, the MSC program was crucial to
accelerate the objectives of Vision 2020 and to transform Malaysia into a
modern state. In Malaysia despite all the efforts to stimulate and push our STI
to new heights, commercialisation of research findings still remains a great
challenge. To address these concerns and to further boost commercial return
from research, the government has declared 2016 as Malaysia
Commercialisation Year.
We are blessed with a line of leadership who is ready to make the bold
decisions to move our beloved nation forward. The Honourable Prime Minister
had the foresight since he took the office in 2009 to promote and inculcate
science, creativity and innovation among Malaysian citizens and by doing so
and we strongly believe Malaysia can become a scientifically advanced nation
.Innovation among Malaysian citizen with the incentives and fund schemes
though dedicated bodies such as TERAJU , MTDC , MDEC , MARA , MYMAGIC ,
and among others.
In order to secure long term benefits for the nation’s economy, we need a new
way of thinking and effective engagement amongst the quadruple helix
partners made up of government, researchers, industry and the community.
Thus, the quadruple helix partnership must be well blended as a culture and
practise, not remain as a mere model. Only then can we boost market driven
research and increase commercialisation rate. This continuous effort has
sparked our interest in supporting government agenda to become a
government that puts its people interest first and thus give birth to this apps
that will benefit the country and the community in years to come.
VIVACAD is for all construction stakeholders who need to improve the quality
of their buildings while lowering the costs and at the same time increase the
efficiency of work. VIVACAD is a mobile platform that helps them anticipate
and fix all issues found during the building’s journey. Unlike traditional
construction software vendors that is available on the market today, VIVACAD
brings the benefits of Building Information Management (BIM) to the field, and
unprecedented predictive analytics.
VIVACAD accompanies you from the first blows of the pickaxe until delivery
whilst allowing you to :
• Improve the work quality in real time
• Smooth communication between client and architect
• Include subcontractors in your project without extra cost
• Maximise the time you pass onsite, avoiding the duplication of
observations and unnecessary paperwork.
• Consult views of the 3D model whilst mobile

VIVACAD share the digital model of your work and let it live throughout the
building process and also collaborate with all construction stakeholders in real
time. The principal objective is to deliver a work that conforms with your initial
project. With VIVACAD you can :

pass to the rest of the design work

VIVACAD system integrate hardware, software and customers service into one
simple turnkey solution that enable construction professional and other
stakeholders to document, monitor and manage projects 24/7 ( no matter
where they are ) via computers and mobile devices.
MISSION VIVACAD
You create projects in the VIVACAD web application. Assign a project name to
your project and optionally add further project details such as an internal
project number, the date the project started, a project description or project
pictures. This data is used to simplify the management of your projects.
Specify which users and groups have access to your projects by adding users
and groups via mouse click to a project or removing them. Furthermore there
is the possibility to control the user authorizations in your project by the
VIVACAD role system. You alone determine which user has which permissions
in your project. By assigning a role (authorization) it can be controlled which
tickets a user must see, if he is allowed to create or delete tickets and what
data he may change to a ticket.
Add any number of your defined ticket categories and ticket types to your
project to enable a simple and quick categorization and typing of tickets. This
speeds up the process of ticket collection and helps you filter specific tickets
with certain categories and types or to export your data.
Organize your projects according to your needs. You can arbitrarily create
many levels and nest these in a tree structure. With a few clicks you create
complex structures such as parts of the building including the associated floors.
To each level an optional plan can be added by simply uploading your PDF or
image file plan. Structuring your projects by levels helps you assigning tickets
specifically to buildings, cuts or projectiles. At levels with a plan tickets can
directly be located on the plan. Plans can be updated at any time by a new plan
status. Projects can always be edited and supplemented with users, categories,
types and levels / plans.
With the VIVACAD user management, it is possible for you to add users to your
account, remove or edit them with just a few mouse clicks. For adding a user,
you only need a valid e-mail address and name of the user you want to add -
the rest is done for you by VIVACAD.
After the creation or invitation the user automatically receives an e-mail with
the activation link. Once the invitation was confirmed by a user, the user can
communicate and participate in the project depending on the assigned rights
to the project participants. Existing users can be added to user groups (such as
e.g.: architects, electricians, technicians, etc.) VIVACAD distinguishes 2 types of
users:
1. In-house users
In-house users are typically users within your company who are
permitted to create tickets and depending on the awarded authorization
view and edit data of your VIVACAD accounts. Depending on your
selected license package, you can add a different number of In-house
users.
2. Subcontractor
Subcontractors have restricted permissions. They won’t be able to
create tickets and are only allowed to edit the status and progress of a
ticket. Still subcontractors may comment existing tickets, upload photos
and export allocated tickets as a PDF or Excel file. You can add any
number of subcontractors to your VIVACAD account for free.
All types of users of VIVACAD will have access to the web application and the
mobile apps.
With VIVACAD you can manage your plans structured and without great effort.
You can upload your plans easily over the VIVACAD web platform. The format
supports PDF files as well as image files (JPEG or PNG).
For the clear plan management, levels and plans can be generated in one step.
The uploaded plans are optimized by VIVACAD for display in the Web platform
and on the mobile apps. In this process, there is no visible quality loss and your
plans are navigable fluid and continuously on your devices. Once the plan is
available for you, you will receive a notification and you can use the plan in
your project.
Structure your plans according to your needs. You can create as many nesting
layers to a tree and upload plans to it. With a few clicks you caneasily manage
complex structures. Structuring your projects by levels helps you to assign
tickets specifically to the components, sections or projectiles. Existing plans
can always be replaced by a new plan status. Meanwhile, the positioning of the
tickets will not be lost in the process.
Tickets are generated with mobile terminals (also offline) locally or over the
web application. each ticket can be accommodate to either plan position,
image, text or voice memos. There is also a design tool will enable you to draw
annotations on the images. Contractor, title, priority and the desired
completion date can be recorded with one click. Categories and types (e.g.:
defect, open performance, task, general damage, etc.) can easily be selected
from the pre-configured category list for the acquisition.
Through this, a very simple and fast process can be carried out thus multitude
of tickets can be reported within a very short time and thus digitized.
This will not only reduce the defect frequency in documentation tasks, but
also, the time required and hence the cost of your quality assurance processes.
All information about the recorded tickets can be viewed and edited on both,
the mobile devices, as well as the web application. Any change to a ticket is
automatically reported by VIVACAD - it is immediately apparent who made
what changes or additions to a ticket. Besides the amendment of the ticket
status and progress, additional pictures and comments can be added as long as
the contractor has the relevant authorization.
STEP 6 : NOTIFICATION
In the profile settings, you can set whether notifications are to be sent only
within the VIVACAD system or additionally via e-mail.
Recent alerts are visible within the VIVACAD web application or in the mobile
apps and can always be seen. Each notification contains the latest information
about the respective ticket or about the carried out changes.

You can export your project data and tickets anytime. With VIVACAD you can
export reports in Microsoft Excel/PDF format. Reports can be sent with a
company logo, description, free text and a photo documentation.

Thus, the location and the type of the construction defects can be quickly
captured in digital plans and complemented by text, photos, or voice memos.
The error-prone process of assembling information from various sources, such
as plans, table, voice recorders and cameras become simple and time -saving.
Thus a complete documentation is possible, which in turn reduces the error
rate to a minimum and enables improving efficiency up to 70%. The direct
synchronization with the online platform of VIVACAD also eliminates the time-
consuming post-processing.
The system is intended for a professional audience and especially facilities the
work of architects, engineers and facility managers, who monitor the project
with many stakeholders.
