Student Voices: The Student Council

Illuminating Paths
Inspiring Change, Transforming Realities!

In our eagerness to improve student life in our high school, it is crucial to think of
innovative ideas that really make a difference

1. Bank of Educational Resources:

The establishment of an educational resource bank will allow students to access online study
materials, notes and resources easily and quickly from previous students who believe their notes
and resources were efficacious and want to share them. This will not only facilitate individual
learning, but also promote collaboration and knowledge sharing among students. In addition, the
resource bank could include educational tools and applications recommended by students and
teachers themselves.

2. Implementation of Recycling and Sustainability:

As last semester students, during the ecology class we learned the importance of caring
for the environment, so implementing a recycling program in school will not only contribute
to the preservation of the environment, but will also promote environmental awareness
among students.

3. Strategy for a more peaceful environment:

I propose the implementation of a mediation and dispute resolution program. This program
would be led by a team of students trained in communication skills and confictos
management, who work in collaboration with teaching staff to identify and address
behavioral problems effectively, creating a more harmonious and safe school environment
for all.

4. "Hall Mentors" Program:

Establish a program where older students commit to being available in the hallways during
breaks to offer guidance and support to students, whether it is to resolve academic
questions or provide companionship.
5. Career Counseling: Career Counseling
We as pre-university students understand how difficult it can be to choose university
and career, so I think that organize professional counseling sessions to help
students explore different fields of study and university careers, identify your
interests and skills, and make informed decisions about your academic and
professional future.

6. Financial Preparation:

Provide information and resources on financial aid options, scholarships, student loans and
personal financial management so that students can make responsible financial decisions and
access resources to fund their university education.

Current problems:
Implementation of sports-adapted zones:
The concentration of sports activities in a single space generates a dangerous
environment. The lack of adequate space not only hinders the optimal development of sports
skills, but also significantly increases the risk of injury to students. The implementation of
dedicated courts would offer a safe and regulated environment for the practice of these sports.
By separating sports activities into designated spaces, not only is student safety guaranteed,
but a culture of respect and responsibility is promoted in our school environment.

Poor communication between management, teachers and students:

Lack of communication is a giant problem that we have detected during all school
cycles, both between administration and teachers, as well as with teachers and
students.

A: Satisfaction Surveys:
Conduct periodic satisfaction surveys to collect feedback and suggestions from
teachers, students, and parents on school communication. Use the results of these
surveys to identify areas for improvement and adjust communication practices as
needed.
B:Clear Communication Channels:
Defnir and promote clear and accessible communication channels for all members
of the school community.
C:Minimum time between notices, set minimum notification time for important
communications, such as changes in schedule, school events and meetings. For
example, require that any planned changes be communicated at least one week
before the scheduled date and also make them in a particular way if necessary, to
ensure that all members of the school community have sufficient time to prepare
and adjust their plans as necessary. This policy will promote transparency and
predictability in communication, reducing confusion and stress for all involved.

Conclusion:
In conclusion, the implementation of these creative proposals will not only enhance the
student experience in our high school, but will also promote a more enriching and
welcoming school environment for all members of our community. By fostering
collaborative learning, environmental awareness and the peaceful resolution of
confictos, we will be contributing to the integral development of our students and the
strengthening of our educational institution.
