IV. PROCEDURES
A. Reviewing previous lesson or Directions: Open the Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM)
presenting the new lesson Module on Creating Rhythmic Pattern. In this module you are expected to answer
the following part and corresponding icons
on a separate notebook in MAPEH

1.”What I Know”
Directions : Read and understand each item carefully.Write the letter of the correct
answer, (see page 2-3)

B. Establishing a purpose for the lesson 2. “What’s In”

You have learned the basic concepts about the elements of rhythm ,today you will
learn how to create rhythmic patterns in different time signatures.
Given the indicated time signature ,conduct the rhythmic pattern according to the
value of each note or rest in each measures,(see page 4)

C. Presenting Examples/instances of new 3.”What’s New”

lesson Rhythmic Patterns
The basic method by which you can learn rhythm is by clapping or tapping the
beat.Rhythmic pattern is a combination of notes and rest based on a time signature.
(see page 5)
Observe how the following rhythmic patterns are made. (see page 6)

D. Discussing new concepts and ”What is It “

practicing new skills #1 Study the picture above ,page 6 and answer the given question below ,same page
6)

E. Discussing new concepts and ”What’s More”

practicing new skills #2 A.1.Clap the rhythmic pattern showing steady beats (see page 7)
2. Tap the uneven rhythmic pattern while counting the number patterns (see page
7)
B. Chant the rhythmic syllables in the following rhythmic pattern (see page 7)
C.Create rhythmic patterns in two measures based on the songs below..”Ili-Ili
Tulog Anay” and We’re on the upward Trail”, (see page 8)

F. Developing mastery Presentation of their Group activity

(Leads to Formative Assessment)
G. Finding Practical applications of “What I Can Do”
concepts and skills Directions: Create two measures of rhythmic patterns in 2,3 and 4 time signatures
44 4
Using different notes and rests. Use even rhythmic pattern for the first measures
and uneven rhythmic pattern for the second measures, (see page 9)

H. Making generalizations and What I Have Learned”

abstractions about the lesson Important Things to Remember
● Rhythmic patterns are made up of combinations of notes and rests
based on a given time signature . It also refers to the even or
uneven combination of the duration of sounds
● Even rhythmic pattern shows a steady beat

● Uneven rhythmic pattern is sounded if there is a combination of

long and short sounds using different kinds of notes
● In 2,3,and 4 time signature
44 4
a quarter notes receives one beat
● Each note has an equivalent rhythmic symbols, (see page 8)

I. Evaluating Learning Assessment

Direction: Read and understand each item carefully .Write the letter of the correct
answer .(see page10-11)

J. Additional activities for application or Additional Activities

remediation Direction: Fill-out the missing note to complete the rhythmic patterns in 2,3 and 4
time signature
