¢ 5 Sh BS pate of the Bipies Department of Education REGION V SCHOOLS DIVISION OFFICE OF MASBATE. 8 July 2024 DIVISION }{EMORANDUM No. » 8. 2024 SCHOOL-BASED TRAINING OF TEACHERS ON THE MATATAG CURRICULUM (KINDERGARTEN, GRADE 1, GRADE 4, AND GRADE 7) To: Assistant Schools Division Superintendents Chief Education Supervisors, CID and SGOD Public Schools District Supervisors/In-charge of the Districts Elementary and Secondary School Heads All Others Concerned 1. In compliance to the mandate of the Department of Education, Schools Division Office of Masbate conducts School-based Training of Teachers (SBTT) on the MATATAG Curriculum for Kindergarten, Grade 1, Grade 4, and Grade 7 teachers with the following objectives: a. Discuss the features of the MATATAG Curriculum for Kinder to Grade 10, b. Provide a concrete understanding on the elements of a Curriculum Guide, pedagogy, instructional plan and assessment, and c. Guide the participants in the rollout of the training at the school levels. ‘The trainings shall be conducted by municipality following the schedules below: Batch1 Batch 2 ee Dimasalang, Esperanza, Batuan, San Fernando, Claveria, Uson, Milagros, Mandaon, Cataingan, Palanas , Pio V. Corpus, San Jacinto, Monreal, San Pascual, Mobo, Baleno, Balud, Placer Aroroy, Cawayan er 3. _ List of identified participants to the SBTT shall be announced through a District Memorandum. 4. All school heads who were not able to participate in the Division Training on the MATATAG Curriculum are required to join the SBTT. Moreover, the SPEd teachers are enjoined to participate in the SBTT for Kindergarten. Address: Rodeo Road, Brgy. No registration fee will be collected from their teacher-participants, however, they will provide for their own meals, snacks, and supplies, if needed. 6. Participants are advised to bring the following during the activity: a. Printed copy of the MATATAG curriculum guide; b. laptop, charger, and flashdrive; c. extension cord; d. notebook and pen; and e. tumbler for water refill. 7. ‘The Education Program Supervisors (EPSs) and select Division Personnel, as representatives of Curriculum Implementation Division (CID), shall join the first day only of the training to ensure proper cascading of the MATATAG Curriculum. Monitoring report shall be submitted to Human Resource Development Unit. 8. Top management and monitoring officers from Division Program Management ‘Team shall conduct onsite monitoring of the program management to ensure accomplishment of the deliverables. 9. __ Since the conduct of SBTT is on vacation and weekend (July 20), the teacher participants shall receive service credit while the non-teaching and related teaching participants are entitled to Compensatory Overtime Credit (COC) per CSC and DBM Joint Circular No. 2, 2004, Non-Monetary Remuneration for Overtime Services Rendered and DO No. 53, s. 2003 Updated Guidelines on Grant of Vacation Service Credits for Teachers. 10. Lunch and snacks for five (5) days shall be charged to the downloaded Fund for School-based Training of Teachers on the MATATAG Curriculum, while the fuel and other training expenses to be incurred by the host schools shall be charged to their respective School MOOE. 11. Travel and incidental expenses of the top management, monitoring officers, inspectors, and EPSs shall be charged to 2024 HRTD Fund while the travel expenses of training participants shall be charged to School MOOE/local funds subject to usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations. 12. ‘This memorandum serves as Travel Order. © hu \YMUNDO M.
