1. Theme and rheme

a. Definition

The meaning of theme and rheme is a clause that has a character of message in contained also
giving it the status of communicative event, also communicative character comes from one
part of the clause which is known as theme. Theme and rheme can help our understanding
how the information is converted in clauses. For example:

My mother=theme
Goes to a traditional market every morning.= rhyme

b. Theme and rheme differences

The difference about theme and rheme is that theme contain element which come first in the
clause, and looking backwards, to related the current message to the previous one
Meanwhile rheme is the rets of the clause. Typically contain new information for point
backward and forward by picking up on information which is already available and adding to
it an by presenting new information

There are types of theme:

1. Ideational theme
A clause at least has one theme, that is the topic of the clause, which is called as
topical. For example:

 Unmarked topical theme= identified as subject of the clause and found in form
of nominal group and nominalization
 Marked theme = found in the form of compliment or circumstansial adjunct

o Unmarked topical theme

2. Textual

Textual theme also foundly in the first of string of themes, containing continuatives and
conjuctive adjunct, also conjuction. The purpose is to explain the logic or temporal
relationship between has just been said and what being told in the current clauses. Also there
are kind of textual theme:

a. Continuatives
A small detail of words that signal a new move of beginning,also can be found in the
beginning of clause

b. Conjuctive adjunct
Some adverbial clause group in prepositional phrases in relating clause to preceding
text by providing logical link between

c. Conjuction
A combined word that connected to the clauses in occurs structurally to antoher
clauses

3. Interpersonal
Interpersonal theme is one on indicating relationship between the speaker and listener. There
are types of interpersonal theme:

a. Mood adjunct
It called ccomment adjunct express the speaker judgement or attitude to the content of
the message

b. Vocative
Vocative meaning address to use getting attention of the listener to the speaker
connectivity.for example in personal name: my dear, honey, darling, and other
address

c. Finite verb operator


Is the meaning of small set of finite auxillary verb connected to modality

Theme : element which come first in the clause, so what the clause is going to be about.

about. points both backward and forward by picking up on information which is already

2. Classroom interacrtion

a.definition

classroom interaction meaning is connectivity relationship between the talker (teacher) and
the listener (students) to develop a target skill sets, also it can mean that communication
between two or more people in giving action as talker and reaction as listener in classroom
setting
b.The purpose of classroom interaction

1. To increase good relationship between the students and the teacher also can increase
language accusation in students
2. The language accusation in interacting for two people or more is a good information
developing for the listener

c.characteristic of classroom interaction

1. Enhancing the verbal contact between the talker and listener


2. The instructor or talker teaching can be improvement to the listener
3. The talker can change the ways he talks using indirect talkative
4. Innovative behaviour can be exercise to listener

1. Learner centered training


Learning in approach can approved students to be more actively participately in inside or
outside classroom area so they can be a larger role in as guide instructor can facilitate earning
and process

2. Teacher centered learning

It can be explain to teacher while do often lead being passive learner, the teacher will
dominate the classroom activites , so the teacher cannot encourage students to controlling the
responbility their own learning. This approach doesn’t except the students to be active learner

1. Teacher talking
teacher refering to language can be modify to their language to the class to make the
students be able to acquire the new language such as simplify their speech, applying slower
and louder than normal speech.
2. Students talk
Language that procduce by students talk, in language in produced by students has
important role in building connection to idea, so they can express ther own ideas, new
topic, or new opinion . they could share their on knowledge their known
