General
Introduction
During installation of the SUITE Software it is necessary to note the preconditions of the
installation. These are for example the SUITE CD and the belonging serial number which you
have received from WSCAD.
Operating Systems
The WSCAD-SUITE uses the Microsoft operating systems. Please be aware of the System-
Recommendations which are noticed in the next page.
Existing Installations
In the case of existing installations e.g. WSCAD 5.x the use of the WIBUKEY Software is
necessary.
Installations of WSCAD SUITE uses the CodeMeter-Software which is included in the

delivery.
The existing WIBUKEY-Dongle can be used for both installations.
First WSCAD Installation

With the delivered CmDongle the new SUITE installation can be used. The CmDongle is a
new development from WIBUKEY.
Previous versions of WSCAD Software work with the WIBUKEY-Dongle only.
With the SUITE the CmDongle is used.
CodeMeter® Concept
CodeMeter is a mobile all-rounder and an expert of security of WIBU Systems.
State-of-the-art methods are used for the encryption, which assure a maximum of security.
The fact, that the basic features are integrated in the hardware increases the security and
ensures that it will run on all operating systems, which support USB sticks.

You can select the individual SUITES freely. However, individual technologies are also
available in their respective version levels.
Other variants will be added in the future. Further information is available on the WSCAD
home page.

WSCAD SUITE Download Tool

Download via internet is possible with the version WSCAD SUITE 2015.
Method to install
E-Mail
First you will get an E-Mail from WSCAD. There is an ZIP-file enclosure. The file is to save in
your local working area and to unpack.
The unpacked file includes an exe file with the name 'WSCAD.Internet.exe'. This file has to
be started.
WSCAD Download
The wizard for downloading is open now. The size of the program is about 920 MB.
Depending of the computer environment it uses some time to download.
Click the OK-Button and the Download starts.

Download with Proxy server

Press the gearwheel on the right side of the window.
Using a Proxy server

In the dialog there are the options 'Use Proxy server' or 'Internet Explorer settings'.
Settings from the Internet Explorer

In the settings of the internet explorer is the Proxy server mostly set.
In this case you have to enter the Username and the Password normally.
If you have to set the data for the Proxy server (IP-Adress, Port etc.), please contact
your System administrator to get the settings.
After editing the settings press the gearwheel again.
Starting Download
With the OK-Button the Download starts. WSCAD SUITE is located then in the appropriate
folder.

Starting Installation
After downloading the installing can be started.
If the Setup is interrupted, it must be started with the 'setup.exe' in the download directory
again.
The dialog WSCAD Install Shield is open now. (see Installation in the next pages)
Target directory
If there is no destination directory selected, the files are copied in the Windows Temp-
Directory
and will be deleted later.
That means not the installation directory. These will be defined in the setup.
With click in the line 'Choose target directory' you can save the software in an desired folder
via the Explorer.
Hint 1
It is to recommend to use an empty folder because you have an mixed with the existing
folders.
Hint 1
If you want to copy on a data media (DVD, Stick etc.) it is to recommend to download on a
local directory and to copy it thereafter.

Single Place
Single Place Installation

In this case you need the Administrator Rights.
There are two ways to install the software:

1. With a CodeMeter-Dongle
In this case the dongle could be adapted immediately.
2. With a WIBUKEY Dongle
After installation of the WIBUKEY Software the dongle can be adapted.
The Installation-Software of the CD loads the belonging runtime parts of the dongle
automatically !
Hint
The Information about the different variations are in the following chapters.
Start Installation
If the installation does not start automatically, you can start the installation by using Windows
Explorer selecting your CD drive and then select the file Setup.EXE.
The actual Version is shown above.

The Default-Setting is WSCAD. It is up to you to define another directory.

Hint
If you want install in the same directory you will get warning. It is possible to install a second
installation parallel to the other one.

In this case it is possible to select software components of the suite. The not selected parts
are not overwritten.
The Runtime-Software oft the applied dongle is located on the CD and will be loaded
automatically.

After installing WIBU CodeMeter runtime software WSCAD SUITE follows.
The installation needs some time. It depends of the computer.

A Desktop-Link can be created.
Start SUITE via the link or the standard calls.
The CD can be removed.

Network
Network Installation
In this case of installation the program files are stored into a common drive of the server. All
WSCAD SUITE users (Clients) can then handle the Software licenses. The single user has a
simply configuration in his local Windows-System.
Hint
Be sure that you have the necessary rights to create folders and copying files !
To be in doubt ask your network administrator.
Server Installation Generally

First Step is the server installation. The necessary files for the server access are defined in
the server.
Second step is the client installation. A setup-file (netsetup.exe) is started from the client.
This setup transfers necessary local files for configuration and OCX-Controls in the local
Windows operating system.
All other files (e.g. libraries, databases ..) remain on the server so that all users have access
to it.
The Server-Installation is independent of the CodeMeter-Dongle.
The installation of the CodeMeter Software can be done separately as described in the
following chapter.
There is one Dongle for all users in the network, which limits the number of users. The
dongle is normally located at the server, it can be placed at the local workstation too.
This setup transfers necessary local files for configuration and OCX-Controls in the local
Windows operating system.

Please open the CD-Folder SUITE… and start with setup.exe if the program does not start
automatically.

Use button Browse and select your destination folder at the server.

The folder should not have any data because they will be overwritten !

The indication bar shows the progress of the installation.
Hint
The installation depends on the access time of the server. That takes some minutes
sometimes.

Sharing a folder !
The appropriate folder of the server has to be released by the administrator. The user needs
the rights for the directory.

A network drive can be defined to get an easier access.

WebAdmin.

CodeMeter Runtime Server Installation

To use the server as dongle-server the runtime software must be installed manually.
Connect the CodeMeter Dongle to the USB socket.
In the installed folder of the ...\Suite\REDIST the CodeMeterRuntime Software must be

started.

The CD can be used too.

The Control Center can be oped via the symbol in the Task bar or via the Start button.
After calling the CodeMeter Control Center the WebAdmin is to open. The CodeMeter
settings can be controlled and modified.

The option 'Run Network Server' has to be set. The clients uses the server as License
Server.
Hint
To make changing active you have to start and stop the CodeMeter service in the Control
Center.

Server Search List

Using in a local area network (LAN):
By specifying the server names or IP addresses you define that the client requests exactly
address the defined CodeMeter network server. This increases the performance on the network.

After calling the control Center the WebAdmin can be opened with the appropriate button.
In the Tab Content you can recognize, that no CodeMeter is on the workstation (client).

Client Installation without Admin-Rights

In this case it is not possible to change global settings in the SUITE-Software. That means
e.g. Directories and Internet calls.
Updates are not allowed too.
Project-specific configuration
This is important to save the specific configuration of a project which can be set in the
properties.
If it is not set, there are no specific settings for the project possible.
First Installation on the Workstation

In this case the Admin-Rights are needed. After installation the rights can be revoked via the
user accounts.

Menu Bar/Processes
Update Time Certificate
Updates the time certificates in the selected CmContainer. All time stamps are refreshed.
Start Stop Service
In some cases the CodeMeter has to be stopped started new. The system shows you in
which case.
License Tab
The "License" Tab shows you information on connected CmContainer and provides some
options to configure connected CmContainer. Moreover, you are able to update licenses
located in your CmContainer using the CmFAS Assistant.

Firmware Update
Click this button to request new, or update existing licenses for selected CmContainer. The
CodeMeter Field Activation Service (CmFAS) Assistant opens.
License Assistant
An Internet connection is necessary to launch the assistant because an access to
WSCAD-License Server has to be done.
Click the button Next.

CodeMeter Software
The starting dialog prompts you to proceed. There you select from creating a license request,
import a license update you received from the software vendor, or, optionally, create a
receipt after an update to send it to the software vendor.
Please follow the assistant for more actions.

Borrowing Tab
This tab informs on borrowable licenses as a feature of CodeMeter license borrowing.
Then licenses can also be used when the access to license information does not require to
be connected to the license server.
Hint
You can toggle the view of this tab using the "View/Borrow visible" menu item.

An active internet connection is necessary to use the WebAdmin.
In the WebAdmin there are a lot of functions and informations about the CodeMeter Dongle.

Install WibuKey Dongle driver

The installation of the WibuKey driver can be started in the SUITE CD.
This is necessary if older WSCAD-Software is in operation e.g. WSCAD 5.x.
Select directory Suite...\WIBU and choose application either Setup32.exe or Setup64.

That depends of the operating system.
Hint
The CodeMeter Dongle shall not be adapted.

The request of the Dongle in a windows network uses the TCP/IP protocol (WkLAN).
Precondition of WkLAN)

 a permanently network connection between server and client

The settings of the WibuKey driver can you find in the system settings of server and clients.

Select Expert modus via the icon menu and expand the additional settings.
Open tab Server and control setting of WkLAN.

Open tab Server WkNet and control setting of Active. It is not set.

It is important that the server service is running. This can be controlled via system
settings in the menu Organization/Service !

Client Settings
Open the dialog like before and select Network tab.
Select Subsystem WkLAN and activate button Search to find and set the appropriate server.
It is possible to set a sequence of the server how the searching should be done. Put your
desired server in the first row.
With Apply and/or OK the settings are saved and the process client server should be run.
Hint
If the WibuKey Server should be run as client too, the settings of the server must be done as
in the clients.

License Update
CodeMeter Update with Internet

The CodeMeter Update is for user only which have the SUITE Version 2012 and are using a
CodeMeter Dongle already.
In this case the CodeMeter has a WSCAD SUITE 2012 license only and needs the WSCAD
SUITE 2015 variation additionally.
This can be done via WIBU Ticketing System automatically. This must be done for every
CodeMeter Dongle
Hint
The CodeMeter driver must no more installed because that has to be done in 2012
installation.
CodeMeter Update
The CodeMeter has to plugged in the appropriate workstation which carry out the update.
If you start the WSCAD SUITE 2015 the License Update file opens automatically.
A connection check to the License service via Internet is now carried out.

The Product key in the WIBU Ticket Service has been checked.

The License has been found in the Licence service.
With Apply the licence is transferred in the dongle. The operation can not be redone.

The Update has to be done per Email and the appropriate license file.

Select the appropriate one.
With button Update the CodeMeter are reread and the file data updated.

Save Update file

The Update file can be saved in any directory.
The file name includes the serial number of the CodeMeter and has the Extension...wsReq.
This file can you copy e.g. in a stick and send it per Email via a workstation with internet. The
file is in the appendix then.
Please send it to ticket@wscad.com with your customer reference so that we have an

unique identification.
The Email is then passed to Wibu Ticket System via WSCAD. The updated file is then
returned to you automatically in a short time.
The Extension of the file is now ....WibuCmRaU.
Please copy the file in the appropriate workstation, where the CodeMeter is located, and start
the application with double click.

Copy the licence with Yes.
WIBU activates two messages which means no failure or successfully updated.

Please accept with OK.
WSCAD SUITE 2014 can be started now.
WIBU Key Update

For WibuKey is no update necessary if you change from an older WSCAD Version to a new
one e.g. WSCAD SUITE 2015.
The license is in the installation implemented.
You can start WSCAD SUITE 2015 at once.
