sentence clearly states what important goal
the student has for the future.
The supporting sentences provide three
steps into how the student will achieve their
goal. The steps are detailed and include
reasons with examples and explanations.
The concluding sentences restates the main
idea and gives either a suggestion or the
writer's own opinions. It sounds conclusive
and the author does not begin to talk about
a new idea.

clauses in their writing. The student has also
included reasons clauses (because) with
correct usage of commas.
Presentation Student wrote their name, date, and class at
the top left corner. The essay has a title and
uses Times New Roman and is font size 12,
double-spaced.
