Documentation for Self Service Analytics Tool

1. It covers the entire analytics spectrum, starting from data ingestion and integration from
multiple sources, internal or external, storing them in a searchable big data repository,
capabilities around building charts and graphs for descriptive analytics and running
statistical/mathematical models for predictive/prescriptive analytics and machine
learning.

TCG mcube comes with three major applications built out of the box:

a. mcube BI – The application allows the users to create interactive visualizations and
dashboards. mcube BI comes with a suite of 24 built-in visualizations.
b. mcube Advanced Analytics – The application enables the users to train their data with
customizable workflow and test their model on the entire data present in their eco-system.
There are 12 pre-defined sample workflow templates for the users.
c. mcube Workbench – The application enables the system/ department / projects owners to
monitor and play around with how the members of their organization can interact with the
platform in whole.

2. License Upload

Steps to setup mcube for the first use:


• Enter the username and password provided by TCG Digital, on the login page.
• Since this is the first time the application is being accessed using the above username, a
message will appear as shown in the screen above to upload a valid license file. Click the
hyperlink “click here” to open the screen below:
• On uploading a valid license, there would be a prompt to enter the product key provided

• After entering the product key and assigning a new password, the screen below should
appear:

After this the user can login with these credentials and continue to create other user
accounts as required. Alternatively, the user can navigate to the main application.

2.1 Upload CSV Data in mcube Data Lake:

Data load is the first step to visualizing data in dashboards. Data load is performed into the
Elastic data repository. This exporting of data can be done using the kettle Pentaho, or directly
through mcube application. After loading the data, the index is loaded into mcube (process of
adding an index will be shown in the following section) and then used to create visualizations.
Data load using kettle Pentaho:
• • Login to Pentaho from the Supervision Tab, in Workbench.
• • The remote view to Pentaho system should appear after all connections are
successfully made
