(ENGAGE) composed of chain nucleotides. Nucleic acids are
generally classified as information macromolecules,
due to their roles in the storage, transmission and
expression of genetic information. It has two types,
the DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acid) and the RNA
(Ribonucleic Acid).

Exactly right! Student, C! Okay, now let’s proceed pieces represent the base
to our discussion. pairs.
STRUCTURE OF DNA
Usually, the DNA is made up of molecules called
nucleotides. But what are they consist of? Each
nucleotide is made up of a phosphate group, a five-
carbon sugar called deoxyribose and a nitrogenous
base. The DNA molecules have antiparallel
structures (double-helix) that run in opposite
directions of one another.
STRUCTURE OF RNA
Similar to DNA, RNA is also made up of molecules
known as nucleotides. Each molecule contains a
phosphate group, a five-carbon sugar called ribose,
and a nitrogenous base too. These are the four types
of nitrogenous bases according to their
complementary pairing:

lesson During the game session, students will identify the correct
(ELABORATE) words on their BINGO card.
Procedures:
1. I will call out the questions.
2. From the question, determine the correct. Mark
your card appropriately. For example, if the
question is “It is a double-stranded nucleic acid.”,
you may mark your card only if you have "DNA"
3. The game winner is the first to
have 5 correct answers marked. The winner
should shout "Bingo!" to indicate a winning card.
