WebCam for PC (PC293) - User Manual

Thank you for purchasing the Logic3 WebCam for PC. As with all Logic3 products it has been built to the
highest manufacturing standards and tested throughout its development, to ensure you get the best
possible product. Please read through and familiarise yourself with this manual before you use the
WebCam for PC.

Driver Installation
1. Insert the CD (Driver) into your CD Rom drive and open the driver directory.

2. Double click Setup.exe and the system will automatically run necessary files and display Install Shield
Wizard. Click “Next”.

3. A Hardware Installation Window will pop up. Click “Continue Anyway”.

4. A screen will be displayed ‘Setup has enough information to start copying files, click Next to begin
copying files’ Click “Next”

5. Upon receiving the prompt “Setup has finished installing Logic3 VGA WebCam on your computer” click
“Finish”.

6. Connect your camera to your PC, your system will locate search for your new hardware ‘Find New
Hardware Wizard’ will pop up.

7. Click “Yes, this time only” to search for software.

8. Click “Next” to continue.

9. On the next screen click “Install the software automatically (Recommended)”.

10. Click “Next” to continue.

11. Click “Finish” to close the wizard.

12. Your WebCam is now set up and ready to use. To use the WebCam you will need an application i.e.
Skype, MSN Messenger. Please follow the application set up instructions.
Setting Up

1. Open the ‘AMCAP’ software (Click the “Start” icon from your desktop and then click “All
Programs”.

2. Click ‘Logic3 VGA WebCam and ‘AMCAP’

3. Select the ‘File’ Tab on your window and select ‘Allocate file space’ (You can allocate how much
space you can use on your PC to record and capture pictures/videos’.

4. Select the ‘File’ Tab in your window and select the ‘Set Capture file’ you can now select which
directory you wish to save your video/pictures.

How to take a Picture

1. Focus the camera on the image you wish to capture (turning the Focus Ring Clockwise/Anti-
Clockwise).

2. Press the Snap Shot button located on top of the WebCam.

3. Once the image has been captured it will appear in another window on your PC.

4. You can save and rotate the picture by selecting the tabs in the window.

How to Capture Video

1. Focus the camera on the image you wish to capture (turning the Focus Ring Clockwise/Anti-
Clockwise).

2. Select the ‘Option’ Tab in your window and select ‘Video Capture Pin…’ (You can set the output
picture size).

3. If you want to record Audio, Select the ‘Capture’ Tab in your window and select ‘Capture Audio’.

4. Select the ‘Capture’ Tab in your window and select ‘Start Capture’ (A window will pop up which
will inform you which directory the file will be saved in).

5. Select ‘OK‘ and the video will begin to record.

6. To stop recording select ‘Capture’ Tab on your window and then select ‘Stop Capture’.

7. Retrieve your file from the selected directory.

How to create Special Effects

1. Select the ‘Device’ Tab in your window and select ‘USB Audio Device’

2. Select ‘Options’ Tab in your windows and then click ‘Video Capture filter….’.

3. A window will open containing 3 TABS ‘Stream Property’, ‘Face Tracking’’ and ‘Effect Frame’
Select your desired special effect from the TABS.

Cautions
- Avoid making contact with the lens; use a soft clean cloth for cleaning.
- Do not use in hot, cold, dusty or humid areas.
- Avoid dropping. Severe shock may cause damage or malfunction to the lens and may cause
scratches to the surface.

Ensure Capture Audio is checked - Select the ‘Capture’ Tab


My video’s have no sound
in your window and select ‘Capture Audio’.

In the AMCAP window (Device Tab) please ensure that the


WebCam not detected
Logic3 WebCam and USB Audio Device are selected.

Unplug this product from the power source before cleaning
Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaner, use only a damp cloth for cleaning
