It gives me immense pleasure to communicate with you and trust that all
is well with you.

There is international consensus that to prevent the worst climate

damages, global net emissions of carbon dioxide (CO₂) need to fall by
about 45% from 2010 levels by 2030, reaching net zero around 2050. Our
government has committed to Net Zero by 2070, and businesses across
the country are pledging resources to achieve this objective. These goals
underscore the urgent need for a dedicated platform to discuss, debate,
and create a solutions-based roadmap for energy stakeholders
worldwide.

I am pleased to invite you to the 3rd Net Zero Summits, an in-person event
featuring two co-located shows: the Hydrogen Energy & Fuel Cells
Technology Summit, which will explore hydrogen processes, production,
and application, and the CCUS Technology Summit, focusing on carbon
capture, utilization, and storage.

With the theme of “Accelerating India’s Energy Transition to Net Zero,”

the summit will gather industry professionals from around the world to
inspire, educate, and champion a net zero future. The 2 day event will
include inspiring keynotes from sustainability leaders worldwide, trends
and emerging technologies, an Exhibition Hall featuring industry-leading
companies & professional networking opportunities.

The international consensus underscores the urgent need for a substantial reduction in global carbon
dioxide (CO₂) emissions to mitigate the severe impacts of climate change. The goal is to achieve a 45
percent reduction from 2010 levels by 2030, ultimately reaching net zero by 2050. While
commendable efforts are being made globally to address emissions, they fall short of what is required
to limit temperature increases to 1.5 degrees Celsius.

Governments worldwide, including India, are investing significant resources in diversifying energy
sources to meet growing demands while curbing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Collaboration
between governments, businesses, investors, and citizens is crucial for realizing a cleaner and
healthier future.

India, in alignment with the COP26 climate conference commitments, pledged to achieve net zero by
2070. This involves substantial investments in clean energy, the decarbonization of the industrial and
infrastructure sectors, and leveraging India's human talent pool.

The Summits
While the government acknowledges the significance of Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage
(CCUS), its approach appears cautious & NITI Aayog recognizes substantial CCUS potential. The
upcoming carbon pricing regime is a positive step, yet additional initiatives are essential.
Encouraging the use of captured CO2 in sectors such as fertilizer production and methanol for
transportation can serve as strong incentives.

In January 2023, India launched the National Green Hydrogen Mission to boost green hydrogen
production, use, and exports. The mission includes financial incentives for domestic manufacturing of
electrolysers, green hydrogen production, and support for pilot projects. The allocated budget of INR
197.4 billion (approximately US$2.4 billion) reflects a commitment to fostering green hydrogen hubs
and advancing research and development in this critical area. However, the progress towards the
required 1 gigatons of CCUS capacity, as outlined in the Net Zero 2050 scenario, remains a concern.
Continued efforts and initiatives are essential to meet these ambitious targets and combat the
challenges posed by climate change.

This dictates the need for a focused platform to discuss and debate possibilities; show case latest tech
and future trends and create a solutions-based roadmap for the energy stakeholders across the
globe.

The maturing carbon market is a major driver for deployment of

carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) projects. Both
the subsurface technical knowledge and related data sets of
the petroleum industry are major inputs required for the world
to successfully move towards a carbon-neutral and sustainable
energy future.

The summit will address critical topics in the CCUS domain,

providing attendees with actionable insights to navigate
permitting and regulatory challenges, secure financing, and
CCUS Technology mitigate storage and transportation risks for seamless
integration of innovative Carbon Capture Utilization and
Summit Storage (CCUS) technology.

Flashback: 2nd Edition

2 edition of Net Zero Summit organised during 6 & 7 July 2023 in New Delhi was a huge success.

Participants from US, Canada, Germany, MoPnG, Country Business Consulates, Academia,
Government Administrators, Officials along with leading Indian companies were present with their
delegates, leaders and exhibition booths. Discussions at the conference centered around bioenergy
landscape, biomass supply chain, financing, sustainability, tech innovations in the biofuels production,
use of AI & ML in enhancing the yield etc.

Many leading companies put up their exhibits displaying their products and technologies. A regular
stream of visitors from Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh,
Maharastra and other states kept the exhibitors busy during both the days. The visitors and the
