Taming the Waves

Taming The Waves is written by Inksteady. It was released in 2022, September. Published under
LIB. This novel is a work of fiction. All the names, characters, businesses, places, events, and incidents in
this book are either the product of the author's imagination or used in a fictitious manner unless
otherwise indicated. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely
coincidental. The author loves creating flawed and imperfect characters, so if you're looking for someone
with an ideal attitude or belief, you won't find it here.

Inksteady is a BS Psychology undergraduate student who spent their formative years in the
province of Laguna. From a young age, they were drawn to books and developed a passion for writing,
and composing poetry, letters, and essays from the tender age of 11. This current endeavor represents a
significant shift from their initial love for reading and writing.

The story delves into the transformative power of love and the profound impact of sacrifices. It
beautifully illustrates how love can conquer any obstacle. The narrative centers around Elora Chin, a
dedicated college student with devoutly religious parents, who places great importance on her academic
pursuits. Her story intertwines with that of Troy, a deeply devoted individual willing to go to great
lengths for Elora. Upon review, I noticed that the text is devoid of grammatical errors. It effectively
employs a substantial number of metaphors and utilizes specialized jargon that may not be universally
understood. The author incorporates vocabulary that is unfamiliar to me; however, I can comprehend
the overall message.

Self-love is truly a beautiful and empowering concept. This lesson has deeply resonated with me,
as it has taught me that every individual is silently battling their demons and facing their struggles.
Therefore, showing kindness and compassion to others comes at no cost and can make a significant
impact on their lives. The story is threaded with themes of romance, self-discovery, and overcoming
personal challenges. It delves into the profound idea of seeking solace and healing amidst adversity. The
narrative beautifully portrays the journey of finding refuge and inner peace through love and
companionship, ultimately leading to a profound sense of belonging and emotional well-being.

My favorite part is when the climax hits. When Maria reached out to Chin to talk Chin thought
that Maria would say hello or make arrangements with her, but it turned out not to be the case. Maria
gave the location where they could meet when Chin received Maria's text with their location Chin
thought that Maria was going to make arrangements but it turned out not to be and Chin got mad so
Chin walked out or left and rode in a taxi but she didn't know that the taxi driver was Luke, the man who
was Chin's workmate who liked or flirted with Chin but Chin was rejected because Troy and Chin were in
a relationship. When Chin was on board, Luke took Chin to an abandoned basement where he raped her,
abused her, hit her, and beat her, chin was pregnant by Troy. Luke portrayed Chin abusing her or raping
her and Luke sent a message to Troy so that Troy knew that Chin was cheating on Troy. When Chin has a
chance to run away, Chin grabs the gun from Luke and shoots it at Luke when she gets home where Troy
and Chin are staying, Chin sees Troy there and they have a fight or challenge Troy to break up because
Troy thinks Chin was cheating on him. And that's when Chin and Troy's relationship had a problem.

The entire book is truly one-of-a-kind. It may not be flawless, but it is extremely relatable, and
the characters, particularly the main character, are refreshingly flawed. The book adeptly portrays the
harsh realities and the cruelty that exist within society. Portrays the journey of the characters as they
navigate through personal challenges and find solace in each other's presence. The author effectively
utilizes language, employs detailed descriptions, and communicates the message with clarity and
precision. However, a downside is that the punitive actions towards the antagonistic characters are
lacking, which doesn't provide a satisfying resolution.

Everyone should read the book. It has a lot of learnings you can apply. It teaches you how to be
humble and understand every person you will encounter. The book connects with a lot of people
because it digs into all the complicated stuff that comes with love. It tells the story of struggles and
tough times that often come along with love. The characters are ready to do whatever it takes and go
through so much just for the people they love. It shows all the challenges and obstacles that get in the
way when you're trying to have a happy and successful love story.
