TOPIC: MACHU PICCHU

So, what is Machu Picchu?

Let’s discuss it.
Machu Picchu is one of the wonders of the world. I have gained
a little information about Machu Picchu from a documentary
that I recently watched.
“Tall, stepped city of stones”, name of Machu Picchu given
by Pablo Neruda (the south American poet).
This amazing place was discovered by Hiram Bingham,
the North American Historian in 1911. It was all covered in
jungle so to uncover things he set the jungle on fire, a huge
mistake that he made.
As it destroyed a lot of artifacts that could have been proven
interesting and archeologist could have taken advantage from it
by increasing their knowledge.
Machu Picchu was the creation of Pachacutec (Incan
leader).
It is built at an area that is difficult to reach or access to. Machu
Picchu is a site for archeologists nowadays.
Machu Picchu is about 500 years old and still standing.
The Inca knows a lot and has abilities even at that time. They
knew about astrology, science, animals, physiology etc.

There were steep stairs to climb. I guess it was built by the
Incas so we can say that they were really experts.
Machu Picchu is a well-known Inca site, but we don't know
much about it.
Enough of stones were present over there as we talked
before about the humongous stones.
After 50 years of discovery Machu Picchu was devastated
and jungle grew back to tuck away the castle and the Inca
empire.
So, we can say it is today still a mystery and archaeologists are
curious about Machu Picchu.
