“An Important Safety Meeting”

BACKGROUND OF DISCUSSION:
Vehicle crashes are a leading cause of fatalities on and off the jobsite. It is important to always drive
safely when you are operating a moving vehicle.

The impact that a car accident can have on your family financially and emotionally is tremendous.
When an employee is involved in a wreck on or off the job, it affects the business as well. Everyone
should make it a habit to make safe driving choices anytime behind the wheel of a car.

Two major HAZARDS that may lead to accident


1. THE DRIVER (Bad Behaviour and Health Condition)
2. THE VEHICLE (Poor Maintenance and Its Condition)

HERE ARE SOME SAFE DRIVING TIPS TO FOLLOW: EVEN IF YOU ARE PASSENGER, IT’S YOUR
RESPONSIBILITY TO:
1. Avoid Over speeding
2. Avoid Distractions such as mobile phones  Stay alert and frequently check the driver
3. Stay Focused & Alert attention.
4. Maintain Vehicle Housekeeping  Wear your seatbelt at all times. Front and
5. Always wear seatbelts back passenger.
6. Be a defensive driver  Never interrupt the driver.
7. Keep a Safe Distance  Always keep a reasonable lookout for
8. Vehicle Periodic Maintenance unsafe habit or conditions.
9. Make a 360 round check before your journey
