EXECUTIVE ORDER No. 07

S. 2023

REORGANIZING THE BARANGAY NUTRITION COUNCIL

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2 of Presidential Decree No. 491 as

amended, declared that “nutrition is now a priority of the government to be
implemented by all branches of the government in an integrated manner”;

WHEREAS, to support the call of better health and nutrition especially

among children, it is imperative to organize a body that will address and
mitigate the nutritional concerns of the barangay.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, MARIVIC B. ZINAMPAN, Punong Barangay of

Barangay Andarayan South,Solana,Cagayan, by virtue of the powers vested in
me by law, do hereby order:

Section 1. The Council is hereby reorganized, its composition and

membership as follows:

Section 2. The BNC shall have the following functions:

 Organize the barangay network

 Prepare a spot map of the barangay
 Formulate a barangay nutrition action plan (BNAP) and translate
into action programs
 Coordinate the nutrition activities of the barangay
 Conduct Operation Timbang (OPT) under the supervision of the
rural health unit
 Organize specific groups to implement the 7 impact
programs/nutrition intervention activities and assess progress
 Monitor and evaluate the implementation of nutrition
activities/projects/programs in the barangay
 Hold regular quarterly meetings to monitor program performance

Section 3. Effectivity. This order takes effect immediately.

Section 4. Let a copy of this executive order be posted at the barangay

hall for the guidance and information of all concerned.
