PREAMBLE
TheCommissionforTechnicalandVocationalEducationandTraining(CTVET)wasestablishedby
EDUCATIONREGULATORYBODIESACT,2020Act1023toco-ordinateandoverseetechnicala
ndvocationaleducationandtraining(TVET)inthecountry.Asaresult,theSectorSkillsCommittee(S
SC)whichisCTVET’sstandingcommitteeischargedtooverseethedevelopmentofoccupationalsta
ndardsforthedevelopmentofcompetency-basedtraining(CBT)programmeshasbeeninvolvedinth
egenerationandvalidationoftheseoccupationalstandardstomakesurethattheproceduresusedmeet
therequirementsforregistrationontheNationalTVETQualificationsFramework(NTVETQF).
OccupationalStandardsaretherelevantsetsofknowledge,skills,attitudes,andvaluesthathavetobea
cquiredbytheCBTlearnertomakehim/herworkeffectivelyataparticularlevelontheNTVETQFina
chosentradeoroccupation.

eNationalTVETQualificationsFrameworkleadingtoNationalCertificateIontheframework.
